Napoleon Dynamite almost single-handedly kept Jamiroquai's name alive in the U.S....now it's time for JK and the boys to capitalize. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. lol... I wouldn't say that Napolean Dynamite has kept Jamiroquai's name alive in the U.S., it's more like it brought Jamiroquai back from the dead here. I still say the only thing they were known for here was V.I. before that movie came out. A part of me hates the reason why they are getting notariety in the U.S. again, but any noteriety is good right? Sorry if I butchered the spelling. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... Since being from the "States" I just wanted to add, that when I ask people about Jamiroquai, they say "Oh, what happened to that guy" like Jamiro is a "guy".
But anyway, regarding 'Napoleon Dynamite', If you haven't seen it, it is worth watching, but it isn't ALL that and a bag of chips. I mean the part where they use Canned Heat, makes me feel like they are cracking a little bit on Jamiroquai and how disco to some people isn't "hip" anymore.
(for a lack of better words) I love DISCO to death, don't get me wrong.
Because the movie is about a nerdy guy in the eighties, The eighties were definitely about "Disco Sucks" if you are old enough to remember. And the whole industry is trying viciously to bring back the 80's right now. So, to put it all in perspective--You have to look at the big picture, as far as anything being a conspiracy (which I believe could be true) We won't know until we hear it from Jay! |

gotta revive this topic:
in boredom (and while on WinMX), i did a search under "Jamiroquai", conducted over 10 seconds.
180 results (out of 206) showed something like "napoleon dynamite soundtrack - jamiroquai - canned heat", and the rest of the songs were insignificant, such as Virtual Insanity hehe
this "music placement", as my media teacher calls it, it really effective, and this has demonstrated it.
and Napoleon Dynamite has been released here. yay. |

i hav eonly heard about napoleon dynamite on jtalk and here, but it's clear that to appear on a movie makes promotion. i don't know if theres more that only that, but it could be......
and what about this?, listen:
last released track from jamiroquai with stuart zender was "DEEPER underground", then first track we heard with stu was with "ms DYNAMITE" with the song "DY-NA-MI-TEE" and the album name was "a little DEEPER" like saying this is better than deepe runderground, now Jay have revenged and the name of the album is DYNAMITE, like saying, if you are ms dynamite, i'm pure dynamite......

lol if they added "Canned Heat" to the U.S. version of Dynamite, I wouldn't be surprised if more Americans bought the album for that over any other reason... _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I love Napoleon Dynamite, the best geek movie ever!
Maybe more people can reach to the band now, but I don't believe in a plot or something.
I also like the song from White Stripes when the movie begins. |

No idea on the movie! Napoleon Dynamite? No idea whatsoever
Anyways, I wouldn't discard the pressure from Sony's head cos it's happened before I'm sure, pushin jmq's sound to pop-ish electro-funk whatever it's called.
