Jamiroquai Brits Success ........ NOT !
Hi all, i'm pretty new and think its a great place for fellow funkers to chat.
Anyway, after reading a few posts mentioning the lack of 'obvious' awards Jamiroquai SHOULD have won and did'nt, it got me thinkin about the BRITS and jamiroquai.
i have one question:
Why have a multi platinum international group such as Jamiroquai never won a BRIT ?
I personally think that it sucks man. 
Oh well who needs a BRIT heh heh ! They, in my personal opinion have no real credability anyway.
Sorry just had to get that off my chest

well i dont think the band really care anymore about the brits since they ve already won 4 mtv , 2 billboards and a grammy award with virtual insanity.
the funny thing is that jamiroquai never really won anything in europe , in fact the american market was the only one that recognize their work.

Yep , how ironic it is... heh
I think that is what i was trying to say in a round about fashion. But hey ho a least they get some sort of recognition in the US.
I suppose the most important recognition is that people keep buying those tunes and going to the shows.

I second that motion.
Brits are a waste of space, I mean how they failed to recognise the biggest selling UK band of the '90s is actually beyond me.
Did Robbie Williams win an award this year? I mean he only released the one rubbish track, but I'm sure he won something |

i bought one of his album ( the ego has landed or something like that) , and most the tracks were really crap . i think his music is boring to death.

I have to fully agree with that ! I can't even talk about that fool without gettin angry, and i do not understand why 'the fat dancer from take that' gets the recognition he does

lol the rest of the world gives the band the album sales and concert revenue. The U.S. will give them an award, but nobody has cared about the band in the U.S. since probably '98 or '99 lol (except for a select few coll Americans lol).

i think the hole idea of award shows is total crap...... why should they get awards just because of popularity vote or something like that! I sometimes tune in and watch teh odd one and all i see is soem crap band that may have a few pearcings or something (good charlotte) get awards and actually talented bands sit there getting nothing... ban the britz and all the others!

Oh well my South African funkster it seems like you gotta start educating your people about Jamiroquai.... spread the word ! 
I also think the BRITS should be banned although i have to say they were slighty better this year........ just a bit mind
