Jamiroquai's Secret Sounds
Hello Jamirotalkers,

This is something I checked a long time ago, and now I found it again in my computer. It's called 'Secret Sounds', and they were in an old Jamiroquai fan page, I don't even know if it still exists.
So here it is (maybe it is already in this site, but I don't remember... if it is, we have to erase this one)

D! (diego)

Listen to the demo version of Revolution 1993. More secret sounds in that tune than in the album version. Compare for example around 3:30 (guitar in the demo version!). And 7:10 of both versions sounds like a sax or some flute.

Laughing You won't believe what I am doing right now: I am multi-tastking capable! I am cooking, hearing Jamiroquai on my iPod (thanks Bear for filling it for me!! 2hug) and on the meantime I am surfing through the web... try to top this! tongue

Back to the topic:

I've just seen that the secret sounds of Synkronized are also missing, so I am gonna make a start with one discovery:

Destitute Illusions:
at the end, when the song is fading out, Jay is whispering something. It starts at 5:27 min and sounds like "Destitute Illusions...." ... but the rest I don't understand... who can help?

I have never heard this before. It's amazing that you can hear so much more details with headphones! 7headphones

It's something like: "Bright up for my eyes" (?). I can't hear it very well. But the whispering part wasn't that secret i guess.

Yes Meike, there's an old topic where we discussed that, a lot of people agree on that he says 'Destitute Illusions... right before your eyes', but I am not very sure about it.

TIP: You can listen more secret sounds if you increase the 3D depth to your computer speakers.

I've been listening carefully the songs too with that, I like the 'kind-of-motor-sound' in several intervals during Little L. And the 'UUhhh Uuhhh's' in Feel So Good.

I'll listen more! 7headphones 7note

Doh, you are right guys, there has already been a topic about it. Embarassed
And now, as you say it, I remember it. But I have never found the time to check it.
I must admit that I have a bad habit: I often skip a song a few seconds before it ends - and that whispering is really at the very end. I must have skipped it everytime I heard that song... how embarrassing! 2tiny

Ok, but I did a first step to complete the secret sound list. Now the ball is in your court! Wink

What is about the webmaster of that site? Is he still an active Jamiroquai fan? Do we know him perhaps?

Hi people! Smile

I don't know if it's a secret sound, but I myself have discovered it only recently and I was so surprised I hadn't heard it before! I couldn't believe my ears! In "Virtual Insanity" during the last 4 bars of the last chorus there is Jay's voice in background with some electronic effect on it singing "We all live underground" repeteadly four times.

Maybe I'm the only one who hadn't heard this before. If so you all can laugh at me.

could it be... "destitute illusions... right in front of us"? I don't know, that's what I can hear... but of course my English is not very good... it's quite confusing...
and I have two questions...
1) In Feels So Good Jay says "often, when the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and the outer galaxies, and Alpha Centauri.... set the parts...." (and here i can hear two point five, I'm not right, am I?
2) In Morning Glory, after Jay says "can't you take me there... away from soliloquies of sadness, and prophecies of pain, and prophecies of pain..." what does he say here?

Hello there,

1- Mmm... in 'Feel So Good' is something like:

"All flights... to the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and outer galaxies from alpha centaury... shuttle departs.. 2.5 seconds"

There's a topic about it right here http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/search.php?search_author=Magic_Meat&sid=0e6c4c7a1c4fd0fe8b5b4096d38016be

(funny thing: http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cache:X_g1wLDuKcAJ:www.geocities.com/ogm_bg/review_FlightSimulator2002PE.html+%22All+flights+to+the+moon+mars+jupiter%22+%2B+jamiroquai&hl=en )

In the Live In Verona DVD, if you choose the right combination of sounds (choosing the second audio channel, and 'Stereo' in your TV, for example) that part at the beginning -the Feel So Good thing- sounds pretty clear.

2 - I think it says "For us all to see".

Hope that helped Wink

Thank you Diego, now I can understand that part about feels so good. Unfortunately, I don't have the Live In Verona DVD, cause I don't have a DVD player and my computer can't play DVDs, but thank you very much.
And talking about morning glory I actually wanted something between "prophecies of pain" and "for us all to see", but of course thank you very much for answering Wink kisses!
