FJLIS to be listened 4 years ago. NO joking!
Believe it or not!
But FJLIS actually was released 4 years ago, during the AFO-period!!!
No, I'm not joking!
To be more precise: it was at the AFO test pressing edition!
For those lucky who own a (digital) copy of the "A Funk Odyssey Test Pressing Edition": just listen to Interlude #2 (the 9th track of the album) and you'll know what I mean. It seems the idea of FJLIS started then.
To let it be even more cool, listen to the beginning of the music-video...
Guess what? It starts with the sound of the interlude.
Cool ha? _________________

Well, it wasn't exactly released back then.
But obviously, Jay had the idea even back then.. |

You're right. Not officially released...

Wouldn't say it was not good enough back then, cause it was just a sample at the Test Pressing Edition. Maybe they thought it was a nice sample to use in a new track (but that was to late for a release on AFO).
Anyway, finally they used the interlude for the track that turned out to be FJLIS... _________________

Hello Jamirotalkers
First, the interlude was never released and we wasn't supposed to hear it.
Second, I can't see anything bad, he liked what he did with his voice and he wanted to make a song around it (plus, sounds bad or good, is a good idea).

It wasn't good because is only that vocoder and Sony didn't want more than 10 tracks on the album, so is not Jay's fault actually.

Hello,.
I hope all my fellow American fans had a nice and gluttonious Labor Day Weekend, mine was ok but filled with work work work ! Anyway, yeah, the Ol' Interlude 2 sample from the Ol' AFO UK Test Pressing, I never thought JK would be so "wizard" to conjure up such a potent single like FJLIS out of it. Makes you think, "What kind of new songs could have JK made up out of the other 2 Interludes?" Hehe, well, I do believe the Interlude is still for download on the Funkin Site (http://www.funkin.com), I know David posted it for download a while back, but much like the progression of acumulating downloads, it was probably backlogged and non-available after a certain amount of time. You could always e-mail David (david@funkin.com) to send it to you if your that "itching" to hear it Mr. Az . Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
