A Whirlwind 48 hours!!!!
What's up guys?
A little bit of bragging, but hard earned at that. For my job, I have a set schedule of working Sunday nights through Thursday nights (2:30-11:30pm CST, or whenever we get done). Well Sunday is always unbelievably hectic at my job, and I did not get out til 2 AM last night. So there was only one thing I could do if I got out that laet lol:
WAIT IN LINE FOR SYSTEM OF A DOWN TICKETS!!!! (Playing once again at the legendary First Avenue Club). Here's the thing though: They are playing tonight! As in 3 hours from now. It was totally a surprise concert announcement last Friday, and they said there would be no online, and no ticketmaster sale of the show. You had to come down and wait in line, because tickets were bein sold at First Avenue Club at 10 this morning. I got there at 3:30 AM last night to wait, and I was about 150th in line, so I got tickets!!!!!!
So combined with seeing System of a Down tonight, and Weezer tommorow night, that's a pretty good two nights of shows. I gotta do somethin to scratch my Jamiroquai itch til then lol. Peace y'all! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

System rocked! But I wish they would have played a little longer (under 2 hours). Tonight is Weezer! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Yeah, for how long they played played, they lived up to the hype. It was just disappointing they ddin't play long than they did. They played over an hour and a half, but the week before at a gig in San Francisco they play for an hour longer!!!
Weezer was also very good, because they pretty much sticked to their older material. Weezer is one of those "hit or miss" bands who's put out a lot of good stuff (especially the earlier stuff from the Blue Album and Pinkerton), but also a lot of crap (their releases the past few years). They played mainly their old stuff, played for about an hour and a half, and called it a night. Not bad, not as intense, but they put on a good show. What made both shows really good, is they were at the legendary First Avenue club (seriously one of the best venues to see a concert, just trust me on this...), and they both had mostly their hardcore fans there which makes the atmosphere at these shows electrifying!!!!
Overall I got my money's worth both nights. Unfortunately they don't let cameras into the place _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |
