Album Six: Return Of The Instrumental Track?
With the promise that Jamiroquai will be returning to its roots, of sorts, I'm reminded of the days of "Music of the Mind", "Journey to Arnhemland", and "Didjital Vibrations", just to name a few of Jam's great instrumental tracks. All four albums, before AFO, had two things in common: Wallis Buchanan and songs without singing (granted, Jay sang a line or two in "Destitute Illusion", but it might as well be an instrumental). A Funk Odyssey had no instrumentals, no Didjeridoo.
Of course, there are no original core members left, aside from Jay. So, my question is, do you think we will get an instrumental track on album six? And if so, will it stand up to the caliber of the former masterpieces? |

I guess no one cares about the instrumentals anymore
If that's the case, we probably won't see any new ones. |

Well. I do like instrumental songs, but if I have to choose between an instrumental tune and a standart one, I would have to choose the second one.
Thet should do more instrumental traks, but they would put them in singles.
If you really wanna hear good instrumental stuff, listen to Stevie Wonder´s Journey through the World of Planta. The songs sound like "Music of the Mind", "Journey to Arnhemland", and "Didjital Vibrations". |

I love intrumental tracks. I think they're very important and Jamiroquai have some incredible musicians. 'Didjerama' and 'Didjital Vibrations' doesn't sound really nice if you only listen that two songs, but if you listen to them with the entire album, you can see that they're ok. That's the difference. What do you think about that? |

I've only heard the ones on albums 1-5 and Bullet, and I'd have to say Bullet.
I picked up the US Virtual Insanity single and was pleasantly suprised when I heard Bullet. I'd like to hear some of those others though. |
