What was the best track?
The Radio 1 Big Weekend has come and gone, and it appears that Jamiroquai is back on top form after a two-year absence from touring. So, from what R1 decided to broadcast (I still don't know why they didn't broadcast the lead single), which track do you think they did the best on? Tough question, but I wanna see how everyone here is gauging the performance.

Put me down for Space Cowboy as the best track from Sunderland; the double chill-out breaks and the "violin" streaks were good variations.

for me... those tracks sounded like the AFO era live songs....
Little L and Love Foolosophy sounded like in Verona, and Space Cowboy the same (only in the chorus that sounded different), and deeper the same thing, rob doing his solos... but i really liked love foolosophy, it was really great...

Confused , in my opinion only AFO era's Space Cowboy was worse than this... Hard to say anything, but one more vote for Love Foolosophy, although i don't really like the track.

Hello,

1. Space Cowboy
2. Love Foolosophy
3. Little L
4. Deeper Underground

Jay mentioned in the interview he had problems with his voice in the morning and that's why they didn't do Virtual Insanity and maybe FJLIS.
They did Revolution, but BBC didn't broadcast it. Unfortunately they did Deeper Underground, I think they only can play the standard version and I heard that too much before. The new vibe in Space Cowboy I really love. Little L and Love Foolosophy are standard versions too, but I lik the 'new' part in Love Foolosophy. I think Matt, Rob and especially Sola did a very good job (and I forget Derrick, he is alway superb). First time we heard Paul Turner and I like what he did. Have to hear more for a better view of his skills. Jay's voice wasn't very good (he couldn't go high and fastly lost his breath), I hope it was due to his voice problems that morning and I hope it'll be better in the upcoming concerts.

PS Interesting they will broadcast the radioshow from Jay's house. Anything who can record it?

I don't know how the people liked the version of space cowboy... Crying or Very sad
The keyboard, the new bassline in the middle and the singers annoyed me a little...
The track I enjoyed the most was Love Foolosophy, I really really really liked it! Specially for the solos by Rob & Sola.

I liked all the songs. But SPACE COWBOY was my personal favourite !
I loved it how they managed to make it sound totally new and fresh.
And the backing singers added to the soul of the songs.
They always make the music sound "black". ( As it should. I mean, what is Funk music without "a black soul "...)
They were sending hot shivers down my spine Smile
The new bassman is really good either !
And Rob was brilliant on Sunday !
And Jay is still able to "fly" :

of course, now I really miss the metals... and people will hate me but I really prefer Sola singing than the girls, maybe they give the band a strange sound...

Where are the good vibes?

yeh i don't agree with the new jamiroquai playing the old songs... the sound weird without trompets, DJ and all that thing... and feels just like it should was the most terrible thing never happened to that band... that is not a good song to be played live... i knew it since the first moment i heard it... too much effects and it's too slow.... i think that the people in the crowd got bored... tracks like love foolosophy or canned heat makes you move a lot... not feels just like it should... but at last... they played great tracks... i didn't like space cowboy too... that chorus sounds weird...

bye guys...

The new breakdown in Space Cowboy sounded awesome, especially the last 20 seconds or so of the song.

FJLIS sounded as awful as the single. Rolling Eyes
