If anybody on the board is familiar with 70's funk, there was a big movement called p-funk. One man often gets all the credit (George Clinton), but there were very many people involved. This huge group of funky people manifested themselves in two musical group (three if you count Bootsy's Rubber Band): Parliament and Funkadelic. The former funk/soul, the latter funk/rock.
Bottom line: Parliament made a whole row of concept albums about funky aliens, their leader being Star Child. P-funk is very well known in funk circles, so this is an odd move from JK making a song with that name. He's basically asking for a lawsuit here. _________________ Supergroovalisticprosifunkstication! |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Nah, I don't think is got nothing to do with all that. In fact, in the official site, go to the biography and in Jamiroquai's one it says what 'Star Child' (or is it 'Starchild' ) is about. I don't remember right now, but is something against TV evangelists or whatever.. haha don't know, go and read it for yourselves.

PS: Right now 'FJLIS' is being played on the radio here in Arg |

Yes, actually jamiroquai DO covers for album releases, I agree though NOT on THEIR album releases, well it's well known they perform cover live, still they recorded an album version of Hollywood Swingin' (a ususal concert cover during the TWM era) with Kool and The Gang and was released not long ago in Japan, so far, that's the only "albumed" cover I've heard from JMQ |
