Could this be Stuarts real departure reasons¿?
Hi guys... just recieved this news into my e-mail box and the question came to my mind... I think there are great chances on being this one of the reasons why stuart left jam... they could have had a fight becaouse of this... anyway the both only know really.... Girls come and go, and your friend´s girl should look like a statue to you, so if that´s the real reason for it to happen then I´m so upset with these guys...

Here´s the article:
BLATT PREFERRED JAY KAY

JAMIROQUAI singer JAY KAY is adamant ALL SAINTS singer MELANIE BLATT wanted to get intimate with him before she fell into the arms of his former bassist STUART ZENDER.

The PURE SHORES beauty fell pregnant in 1998 with Zender's baby and the couple are still together - but Kay is still resentful of his ex-bandmate's eagerness to steal Blatt's affections.

He says, "The way I heard it was Melanie Blatt wanted to get in my pants before his and he moved in quick. He had a tendency to move in quickly on anything that I liked, good-looking lad that he is."

I think there's more to the JK-Zender feud besides a woman, but if it really is true, then I'm not surprised. Laughing

Sounds to me like pure tabloid crap!

If true, then the reason would be that J wanted to make a move and Stu took her away from him to avoid further confrontations (Melanie Blatt is FUGLY! dunno why they'd fight for her, I'm sure Stu's got weird likes)

If true, then I'd hate her for taking away a querter of jamiroquai's brain and soul.

Hello there,

This is the OFFICIAL STATEMENT from Stuart Zender (reasons for leaving the band): Many different stories may arise from the news that I have decided to leave Jamiroquai, so I've decided to let the public know my version. After 6+ years of being with the group, I felt the time had come when I should move on. I've always felt that being a team player was vital to any band, and this didn't happen with the group. We were all involved with the writing and production of the music, but at the end of the day, credit was with one person. As our success increased, the monetary splits suddenly decreased. My commitment to the band was never an issue with me, but when you do commit and contribute to the long hours in making an album a success, and the gruelling tours that follow, compensation should be distributed fairly. The decision to leave was not an easy one, as after 6 years friendships have grown. I know there are opportunities out there for me, where I will be recognised for my musical capabilities, but most of all to be part of a team. Melanie and I are eagerly looking forward to the birth of our daughter next month. She has been very supportive in my decision, and we are both going to play an integral part in our daughter's life. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their dedication and support, and wish Jamiroquai continued success. Stuart Zender.

D! (dyego)

I always knew it was for money and fame..It always is

But, I agree with Stu, J's ego is so huge that many people joke about it, well I agree, Stuart is arguably (at least for me) the best bassist ever, and he's a very talented genius, his AZUR music is awesome, and I mean it! leroy's great too!

I'm sure that if Leroy gets some airplay, Stu will be recognised by people, and not only by jamiroquai and his fans,

Hopefully that will happen someday, in the meantime, for me, Stu's a genius just as Toby, Derrick, Sola, Wallis, Katz, Van Gelder, Gavid Dodds, Harris, Nick, etc, and J, they all take credit by me..yes even Rob!

appart from the writing credits and stuff Stu says i think lot of the departure's from people of the band should be Jay's coke addiction, as we know now from Jay's words he haves been so hooked up in last times and give him problems but i'm sure ths thing started quite long ago, and i'm pretty sure that it haves relation with TWM succes, so i think that relation with him should be really hard for some of his old friends. we all know that Jay's ego is very big, and when he become a mundial star on 96 i guess this thing could turn really annoying for other ones in the band.
