Hello,
Whoa and wow and all other adjectives of surprise, those samples are KILLER ! I'm amazed they have surfaced on AOL or whatever portion of AOL they are on, thanks alot for sharing those dkpsul, very generous ! As for my reactions to the samples, song by song:
DYNAMITE: A good old-fashioned funk chuckwagon bumping down a neon dirtroad looking for fuses to lit off some DYNAMITE!!! Very Nice!
GIVE HATE A CHANCE: Very well formed and great! Lyrics sound top-notch!
STAR CHILD: You know, I could imagine HAL listening to this inbetween millions of calculations...hehe, tight ass basslines!
There you go, thanks again for the treat Dkpsul, much appreciated! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

out of the 3 i think GHAC sounds the best, although its hard to tell from a short sample. It just sound the funkiest although i think its closely matched by Dynamite.
"Weve been givin' Hate a chacnce.... weve got all this love to give,..you know"
I think the backinsingers work really well on that line, its nice to hear a different voice actually, apart from jay ( not that theres anytihng wrong with his voice!!) its just refreshing _________________ I never know what to do 'til im there with you... |

Now I have more faith in the album but I can't understand why they chose FJLIS as the first single _________________ We're going to a funktion yeah yeah yeah |

How I like "Dynamite" ( No offence. Just my humble opinion !) :
Sorry but I´m not as over the moon as JamiroFan2000 obviously is.
The melody is just standard. A thousand times heard. And already forgotten. I could play millions of other disco songs to you which sound
exactly the same. This song sounds kind of cheap to me.
The worst thing is the "Come on" in Dynamite. This is soooo standard.
I think "trivial" is the best word to describe it !
BOOOOOOO!
What is he gonna sing next ?
" Wave your hands in the air like you just don´t care " ?
What is that supposed to be ? Some kind of Saturday Night Fever revival ?
Shall I put on my platform shoes ?
Really guys: I like SDISJ. And I like EM ( or should I rather say "I got used to it by now").
But this cheap disco stuff is too much even for me.
TOOOOOOBY ! COME BACK ! PLEAAAAAASE !
JAY NEEDS YOU ! DESPERATELY !
Next I´m gonna listen to "Starchild" and "Give hate a chance". Let´s see whether these are better. |

for me, if you put dynamite and starchild in your windows media playlist and put it on loop, it sounds exactly the same, or maybe its the quality |

dynamite: that sample is almost from the ending of the song. If you listen to the complete track you will love it!
star child: the sample don't represent the entire song, is not fare to judge it when it's only a part in the middle.
give hate a chance: that's the chorus, you can't hear the bassline...
a good trailer for you... _________________

Awful quality...
It doesn't help to build you impression of a song on a short snippet of a quiet, hollow, bad quality live performance _________________

I'm not one of the most pessimistic people, BUT all of these tunes sound kinda the same...i like them, but they all have the same slick glittery early 80's disco feel to them...weird - maybe FJLIS was a good choice of single, something unique.
Having said all of that- we need to take a step back from these samples and reserve judgement until we get ahold of the album. They're all less than 20 seconds and sound like they are the chorus hits.
and in closing, JK still does have those pipes.
EDIT--------------------
Wait a second, these are live samples and not from the album??? I'm seeing AOL and it reminds me of the AOL session, in which case - this is great news...keeping my fingers crossed that its live.

Thanks for the samples. Let's not turn this into a pissing match again, remember what happened when the FJLIS sample that got leaked?
I trust Abou's word...gotta hear the whole songs first and in better sound. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does.
