I love Feels just like it should
hi guys
my time has come to say the truth about this track...
when we have heard Feels Just Like It Should here for the
first time, i fell in love with this song, i said i love it so much
to everyone here... somehow it happened many fans didnt like the song
so i know they will come and say something bad ...
yes i will not make many friends with this thread...
but i am sincere i love this song and i love each song on this perfect album.
Jay if you read this, its perfect groovy song!!!
one of your best ones!!!
it has best ideas and riff which is groovier even than Stones' "start me up","satisfaction" or "jumping jack flash".
all entire bassline of the song is Jay's voice
processed by synth vocoder.
Jay said its close to Curtis Mayfield type of funk.
i've never heard Curtis Mayfield, though i've read in Jay's interviews he spoke about him. now i want to hear Mayfield albums too.
i dont know i just love love love love love love FJLIS and
i think its the best start for album.
i love the order of tracks on the album.
and of course i love that after FJLIS there goes Dynamite !!! [/color]

Curtis is great. Although, I cannot straight think any close resemblense between FJLIS and Mr. Mayfield.
(Did you know that Curtis was paralyzed from neck down while performing a gig in 1990. He played the keyboards and some stage lightning rig element fell on him and he died in 1999)
I love especially the track Move On Up! And perhaps his best album as a complete is Superfly. Decide yourself. Great man! _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Curtis Mayfield is worth checking out!
Especially his albums Curtis, Roots, Live and Superfly.
Also, he had his own record labal, Curtom Records. If you're a vinyl junkie, search for 70's soul and funk records by Curtom, they are great! Many good artists and many good songs. _________________ Supergroovalisticprosifunkstication! |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
My dad comes yesterday and said to me "the first track... i'm starting to like it!'. I couldn't believe that, I took me like a month to get used to the track... I really like that song, but I think is because it starts the album like that, and then it gets very danceable, it was a good move I believe. It might not be the best track in the album or the best one from JMQ, but the track is actually good.

I have to be honest and say that the first time I heard the sample on the official site I wasn't that impressed. However now that I've listened to it a few times, I get to like it more and more.
Curiously, EVERYTIME I hear it, the image of Seal comes to mind. I honestly think it's a track Seal would record without a second of hesitation. I have all his 4 cds and FJLIS is definitely very Seal. |

well, i don't like so much feels just..., but sola did a great job in the hole album... and no words to describe his performance in Time won't wait! Imagine, there's a lot of percussions in all the song!!! after listening a lot of latin percussion player in all my life, i can say that Sola is a great one! and feels just like it should is not a funk song, but this song has a great groove i really like! Rob harris did a great job too... i know someone is gonna kill me for that comment... but it was better than AFO ten million times... this album is gonna be great!! i can't wait for the release!!
bye guys!! _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
