Fawlty Towers and Blackadder
I recently bought the whole set of "Fawlty Towers" and "Blackadder" and I just finished watching them. Really, that's what I call an historic achievement in television history. Concerning televisual comedy, the British seem to be the world champions in this discipline. I guess you'll never see programms of such a quality on French, German or Belgian television (I'm not even speaking of the Luxembourgish one.).
I really like the two characters of the morons in both programms. On the one hand for "Blackadder", the servant Baldrick (quote: "I've got a cunning plan) and on the other hand for "Fawlty Towers", the waiter Manuel, you know "He's from Barcelona" (quote: "Qué?"). Between, I like also the character of Queen Elisabeth in "Blackadder II".
For those who don't know these programms, I'd like to inform you that "Fawlty Towers" is from and with John Cleese, the tall guy from "Monty Python's Flying Circus" and "Blackadder" is from (at least the first series) and with Rowan Atkinson, aka "Mr Bean".
Now if you want to live a televisual highlight, go out and buy these jewels of British comedy. I warmly recommend them to you. |

It's a quote from FT, fool!
Honestly catman, if a hungry cannibal cracked your head open, there wouldnt be enough inside to cover a small water-biscuit. |

BOOM boom boom boom,

Blackadder: boom boom boom?
Baldrich: how did you know sir? |

Yeah, I too love them! We just have BBC night @Prva TV with those pearls.
Too bad there are only 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers.
My favourite british series: "The Prisoner", "Fawlty Towers" "Monthy Python And The Flying Circus", "Black Adder", "Thunderbirds", "Terrahawks", "Allo Allo", "Coupling"!
I have appart from "Black Adder" all of them on DVD-R |

Hehe!
Between, a friend told me about a very funny series about an Irish priest. What's it's name? I can't remember it anymore. |

DAVE ALLEN.
one of his classic jokes:
Barfly: "Hey you! Do lemons.....do lemons have feathers!!!"
Barmaid: "I beg your pardon..."
BF: "DO LEMONS HAVE FEATHERS!"
BM: "I don't believe so.....why?"
BF: "Well in that case i have just squeezed your canary into my drink!"
omg frikin hilarious. |
