A Starchild story for you....
Right this may seem weird, but i was listening to Starchild on my ipod on the way home today. I found myself walking at a different pace and slightly different, especially when the track just kicks in.
For some reason i had the image of John Travolta walking to the dance floor in saturday night fever lol
Anyone else had anything happen to them similar to this?
Also does anyone else find when a Jamiroquai song comes on people "try" to dance like Jay (me included )?[ _________________ I never know what to do 'til im there with you... |

I will admit that I have tried to pull some JK moves in the past...never in public, though. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. obvius...that song is so fucking groovie and disco! I like it alot
got the 70's disco groove on it! I tink jay inspired on that, to make the song.
We know that he is a lover of disco. So this was the time to make one.
I love it! Is amazing to dance.. like Time Won't Wait, when i listen it, i start dancing
put us the soul in the body and makes us dance dance dance dance... _________________ hooked up

Hey!
Great words EvoV!
Well, I have a confession to make...whenever I hear Starchild, Time Won't Wait and Dynamite (providing no-one is around) I dance!
At least, I try to! It seems I dance alot better under the influence of alcohol!

I have this "Saturday night fever" feeling when I listen to Dynamite. I think it really sounds like the Bee Gees at their best Disco times!!
And yes like Evov said - the album makes me wanna dance dance dance dance....... |

I thought you were all too young to know this film - but maybe it's an "oldie" for you. I don't know when it was in the movies - but it was one of the first films I went to the movies with my friends |

Hello there,
Actually.. I pictured John Travolta with 'Give Hate A Chance'. 'Starchild' reminds me a little bit to Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and to 'Soul Education' in some parts. Perhaps JMQ does sound similar.

Haha.
My liking for the album went up about 50% once I was able to:
1) Sing along to ALL the songs
2) Imagine videos for ALL the songs
3) Dance to ALL the songs!!

I have golden rules for when and where I listen to Jamiroquai.
I try never to drive and listen to Jamiroquai, unless I'm on my own on country roads far from the lenses of speed cameras. And I can't bear people talking indifferently over the top of Jamiroquai.
I very rarely listen to Jamiroquai in public because it is only natural that I would begin to wiggle and squirm, and I get enough funny looks from people anyway - so I don't need to give them another reason.
But when I am out running, even long, long distances, I mean like over 20 KMS, I still leap, skip and hop and air punch with my favourite parts of Jamiroquai songs. And then there are the other tracks, which necessitate that I stop and hold onto something as the intoxicating wham hits my brain and makes my legs heavy, and my head hang forward.
When I hear Jamiroquai in public places, my husband understands, and doesn't take any notice of my strange behaviour. Like when I shift my chair to the immediate front and middle of the video screen monitor - irregardless of anyone or anything else, and make ssshhh-ing noises as the people around me. And from the look on my face, no body has ever questioned me when this has happened. Then afterwards I look around to see if there was anyone else who is/was besotted - and I never see anyone.
In five days time I will be meeting up with the cream of the crop of my Jamily, and it will be the first time in my life that I will share the joys of Jamiroquai with other living human souls in person !!! Add to that the increased dosage of the mind blowing effect of the new album - it's just too good to be true !!!
I have been able to share this sublime joy here though for the last two years, and I thank all of you for making Jamiroquai even better for me than I ever anticipated.

Here's my Starchild story.
Breaking the norm from my punctuative threes, (!!!) and (???), I chose to sign off with four brackets representing the smiles of my four children, thus, :-)))) since my early days on JTALK, sadly long before I discovered Jamirotalk.net
However, when I saw the name Starchild on the Dynamite track listing, even before I heard it and fell in love with it instantly, I decided to add the fifth bracket and adopt Starchild as my fifth child.
And they all lived happily ever after . . .
:-))))) h |
