More about Jamiroquai in South America...
Hello Jamirotalkers,
I got my local Rolling Stone today, and there's an article about all the concerts this year in Argentina; Rolling Stones, U2, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Oasis, Santana, Robbie Williams, etc etc.
The guy who brings most of this artists is Daniel Grinbank, and in the magazine he says:
'I discarted Bob Dylan and Jamiroquai because the audience wouldn't take all that'
I believe it's because all the artists that are coming to Argentina this year... but I read somewhere else, that the other company, Fenix Entertainment Group had them on schedule for this year.
The story continues...

Is that Daniel Grinbank guy tryin' to say that Jamiroquai wouldnt be successful if they were to play in Argentina Diego??
I agree with you about the other artists going to Argentina. Obviously I think that Jamiroquai are more than worthy to be in that group of artists but obviously that isn't the case. |

No, from my point of view, he tryied to say that with all those artists coming, it wouldn't be a good choice to put all the big names together at the same time.
I don't think a guy that hires a lot of big names could say something like that about the artists he brings, know what I mean?

There aren't THAT many names in there to spread over a whole year, are there? Or is he planning to have them all playing Luna Park in the same week and no big-name gigs for the rest of the year? And are Franz Ferdinand REALLY a big name outside the UK now? You poor people...

what big names man...... I mean OkRolling Stones have a lot of history... but as a show man the songs are all the same its like putting a cd man... thats what jam has diffrent to any other band nowadays apart from hte great songs, the live performance is unique... Anyway I think the guy who said that is sick....... Who the funk is franz ferdinant or however you write that man?? I just hope he brings all the band BUT jamiroquai and when jami is brought by another company they will end up giving this great shows so all those stupid people who payed 300$ to see either the Stones or U2 from60 miles away will want to kill themselves... anyway I know if they come Ill be there _________________
