Back to driving
Hiya,
As some of you may know (those that went to B-live with me), I lost my driving licence because of getting 6 points within my first 2 years. I could no longer drive the day after B-live.
This mornin I passed all my tests again and so I can legally navigate Her Majesty The Queen's highways without restrictions. It's such a weight lifted of me shoulders!

Just stay over in Britain.
I don't want to warn all the European children to stay away from the roads as soon as they see you driving along. |

I'm actually a very aware driver, and I passed both tests with full marks too . It was only because of speeding that I lost the licence. Even my examiner today said that he wouldn't have took my licence off me because what I did wasn't dangerous (off the record after the test finished and he asked why I was there). Plus, in the UK, we have (If not THE)nearly the safest roads in europe anyway, so you needn't worry (source: http://www.safespeed.org.uk/roadsafety.html) _________________ By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II - Now legally Licenced to navigate the Public Highways again.

I like the new ones, will probably get one soon when the money picks up. Until then, however, I'll be with this old girl still. That one's a 2.0 Ghia X (with lumbar support! ) _________________ By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II - Now legally Licenced to navigate the Public Highways again.

Lumbar support eh?! What did you do to your back? Nothing serious I hope!
My driving instructor is still dealing with the effects of whiplash 2 months on from an accident at a roundabout (just to clarify...I wasn't driving,ok!). As a result, his pupil failed her test and his gorgeous car (my dream car), an MG ZR, was written off! I am now learning in a Mitsubushi Colt...it doesn't have the same 'wow' factor as the ZR, but I can't complain as it's a nice drive!

No, just for comfort on long journeys . Bad news about the ZR and the instructor . I had a close call a few months ago when I let a mate drive the mondy in an empty car park (I thought what could go wrong).
But go wrong it did. He put the car into reverse, with full stererin lock, for some reason he floored it (he was still only learnin to drive, and in small cars) and smacked it right into a tree in the middle of one of those islands in car parks. Good thing was that the kerb was quite high so it slowed the car down a lot. Still had to get a new tailgate and bumber tho (which he paid for, and luckily his brother is a ford mechanic too)
Stupid of me to let him drive it really, but he said he was doin well in his lessons.
I talk about mondeos too much (I think I may have a fetish) _________________ By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II - Now legally Licenced to navigate the Public Highways again.

That was a close call indeed! I bet that's last time you let a learner anywhere near your car! My dad certainly won't let me touch the Mondeo...even though he seems to do more damage than I ever would! A month or so ago, we had to have the front bumper replaced because, and I quote, "it just fell off". Hmmm!

And, don't worry, we all have our favourite cars...the MG ZR is definately mine! Maybe one day, I'll have one of my own. For now, I'm just happy to have driven one. _________________ wouldn't you like, wouldn't you like, wouldn't you like...to shoot the moon tonight? |
