Acoustic Songs.
it was smellbob, who encouraged me to create this discussion. overall, jami have done some gr88 acoustic songs, right?? question is which songs would you like jami to do, in an acoustic version? mine are, "stillness in time", "half the man", "manifest destiny", "do you know where you're coming?" & "return of the space cowboy". P.S "2001"? lol anyone agree? _________________ My heart is a pure sun and the sky is black, and I can feel cold steel when I turn my back, it stings like needles, with a jagged tongue, you know this scream reminds me, of when I was so young |

So many
You lucky Queen of Funk ,
you seem to have heard a lot of different tracks in accoustic.
I only know 2 accoustic versions of "Love Fool":
The one sung by JK with only Harris playing the guitar.
The one of CD:UK recovered with the whole band, which is my favorite one.
I like the accoustic of "Picture of my life". It is straighter and more simple than the album version, which is too "whining" for my taste.
I also know a great older one that was broadcasted on MTV a long time ago: "If I like it, I do it". Although I did not like this song on the album, I was knocked off by the quality of the accoustic version. |

Virtual insanity
Oh yes Didgin ,
I know this version of VIRTUAL INSANITY with the piano you are talking about. At least, I know one on a keyboard which sounds like a piano.
It helps me understand how major the keyboard is in the music of Jamiroquai. |

i agree digin!!! "VS" would sound gr88, in a piano acoustic way!!! P.S & for sunrayvibe, i think you misunderstood, what i asked was "which jami songs would you like to hear, in an acoustic way!" do, you understand babes? _________________ My heart is a pure sun and the sky is black, and I can feel cold steel when I turn my back, it stings like needles, with a jagged tongue, you know this scream reminds me, of when I was so young |

Oh yes Queen-of-Funk ,
I think I understood .
I was only referring to this special track... which is something different than an accoustic version, you are right. |

I have been imagining an acoustic version of Stillness In Time for years!! It all sounds great in my head, now I gotta learn how to play the guitar!
I think Virtual Insanity would be great with a piano and a double bass. Very 'Jazz Club'!!
Oh, and King For A Day with only piano and strings. Imagine how haunting it would sound. (haunting is the only word I can think of right now, you know what I mean)

i have an acapella-version of Canned Heat. I think, it would also make a funktastic accoustic-version. a bit strange mabye with the speed of the song, but interessting for sure. hey, JK, apply for MTV's unplugged! _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

Acoustic songs....
Hello, :bm_r:
Love reading all the replies, Jamiroquai need to do more acoustic versions of their hits! A MTV UK Unplugged special would rule, I'm dieing for acoustic versions of my favs: "Morning Glory", "Just Another Story" and "Hooked Up"! I still think the best Jamiroquai Acoustic has been in agrees with others the Mondo Grosso Love Mix of "Love Foolosophy", probably the best remix to date, but I would of like the heavy drums and bass to join the song from beginning to end instead of showing up halfway through! Thanks for listening and keep up the great work CosmicMouse & Bear! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
JAMIROFAN'S THOUGHT OF THE POST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Top five fav Jamiroquai acoustic songs:
1. Love Foolosophy-Mondo Grosso Love Mix
2. If I Like, I'll Do It-MTV
3. Black Crow- Radio 1 acoustic
4. Picture Of My Life- Radio 1 acoustic
5. Corner Of The Earth- CD:UK acoustic |

Unplugged
To watch an "Unplugged" of Jami has been my dearest wish for almost 1 year now, when I saw them live for the first time. I wonder why they haven't performed a whole unplugged concert yet.
I haven't watched MTV so much since MTV Europe was replaced by the splitted national editions, but it seems to me that they do not broadcast as many "unplugged" as they used to.
Aren't there enough artists around good enough for an "Unplugged"? Yes, you have to be really good to perform unplugged.
Let's dream:
Between the end of the AFO tour and the next album, Jamiroquai need to remain in the musical landscape and decide to record an "Unplugged" (guess who will attend the concert ...) that will be braodcasted on TV... _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life?

i swear something similar was performed on "the johnny vaughan show". right? Jkay perform VI, but it was only a sample & he ended up running when he finished performing! right? _________________ My heart is a pure sun and the sky is black, and I can feel cold steel when I turn my back, it stings like needles, with a jagged tongue, you know this scream reminds me, of when I was so young |

20-0-1
20-0-1 is the song I like the least on AFO, so maybe an accoustic version of it would change my mind _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |
