"(Don't) Give Hate A Chance" Video
Hello Jamirotalkers,

The second single off 'Dynamite' is out now, and the third single will be apparently '(Don't) Give Hate A Chance'. I was wondering, what kind of video would you like to see for this song? I mean, it's a very disco song, but it has also a message of "peace"! Is quite of contradictory to make a video about it! Just imagine people dancing around, drinking, etc while the song talks about not killing any more, and start loving each other! Haha maybe drinking alcohol is a good way to start LOL

Personally, I would like that someone like Michel Gondry directing the video, that guy made the coolest videos ever!
Things going to the rhythm of the song, lots of visual effects... mmm... maybe a discotheque of the future! Without wars, without anything... just a big party with people from all around the world dancing in this gigantic discotheque in the middle of the ocean (or an island who knows) with 4 or 5 floors, lights like in the 'Litle L' video, lots of colours, a big swimming poll in the middle of the disco, (maybe strippers too! haha), courts in different floors with people playing, and as for the band, a huge set of stereo system and the band playing there, with Jay dancing all around the discotheque and singing 'We got all this love to give!!' .... the video should transmit happiness! Haha. What an imagination! Sounds like very expensive too, but that's how I imagine a video for this song.

Do you have any idea for the video of '(Don't) Give Hate A Chance'?? Reply!!

D! (dyego)

(Don't) Give Hate a Chance is an excellent dance song, so the main thing I want to see is Jay dancing like he's never danced before!!

Combining dancing and special effects would be a fantastic idea, something along lines of the Candyman in the FJLIS video.

Well that's a good point. This is gonna be their first video promoting 'Dynamite' in the US, they should really do something that will kick some @$$, like 'Virtual Insanity', 'Deeper' or 'Canned Heat'! Special effects always make a video to look even more "cool", whatever that means.

I think Feels Just Like It Should will be the first single here in the U.S., so chances are we'll be seeing the video for that song first.

Not knocking any American styles here but your comment ties in with my thoughts on first seing the video. It hit me smack in the face as looking like a music video by an American artist. It just felt so far away from what I personally ever expected to see Jamiroquai come up with. Maybe there was thought as to the US market when making that video... Rolling Eyes

good ways...
i post my idea in the jamiroquai official forum and now here...i hope jay read all the forums for start to work Laughing

i think in a video in a street-like feels just like it should-but in the street is the night and the lightnings chase jay kay and he jumps to the roof of all the cars parked in the street and start to rain and he stay singing and in the end...(looks like ''feels just like it should the sequel'' isn't?)jay fall go the asfalt and the sky is opne and appears a great sunshine...i think a video can be say more if dont show the same as say the song and have the same effect.
obviusly in the end he looks to the sun and the street is in the day...
