No, I can't imagine that ... - I am waiting for the last update ...
update: Hm, you're right ... - they have not performed Dynamite, indeed.

Surprising set list
Hi Space Kitty, Mouse, Bear and all Berlin funkers!
I was very surprised (and somehow disappointed) that they did not play Dynamite, or Starchild, or Tallulah. Revolution, Use the Force and Black Capricorn Day were 3 very good surprises for me though.
Love Fool took the whole audience into dancing, just as JK foretold when announcing the track: "I know you are going to love this one".
I found the performance pretty good. They also played quite long, from 8:45 to 10:35 or something.
Still, the sound in the ARENA is so bad . Each musician / singer in the band is really worth listening for its own outstanding quality. For instance the keyboards on "Canned Heat" were so great (Johnson also beams through the whole show with his smile and energy, and this is a real pleasure to see).
Unfortunately, either the mixing or the sound quality or the location (brick and concrete roof, metal arches) sometimes reduce the global output to "mash potatoes sound".
I also enjoyed the lounge / club atmosphere created in the venue with the warm orange lights and the party music. It felt much more proper than a dull guest group.
I'm eager to read Mouse's review with all details from the first rank place.

Thanks funkmaster for the setlist - only 14 songs that's even less than Düsseldorf And I also don't understand why they didn't play Dynamite...
Thanks Sunrayvibe for your review - did you meet with Meike and Stephan ? I'm really looking forward to their review and pics !!! |

Hi Butterfly,
no I did not meet them. I tried to find them in the first row, before the concert began, because you could see the first row when walking to the side of the stage. But it was too dark at that time and I couild not distinguish the faces.
I think I saw Meike in a white shirt during the concert on the big screens, when the camera was filming the audience. But I am not sure.
By the way, what a nice row of girls dancing and glowing. Old uncle Jay must have appreciated it. ) _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |
