Perth reviews - anyone?
Hey, I think the last concert of this tour leg is over, isn't it? It's in the middle of the night now downunder, in Perth. Some people might be at aftershow parties right now...
Waiting patiently for reviews, pictures, video clips, bootlegs and band meeting reports!!
Wow, a long tour is over for now. Hope Jay and the boys and girls will have some great x-mas time with their families, and take some rest and relax. They really deserve it!!!
Can't wait for new tour dates for 2006!!

The concert was totally awesome. It was the first time I'd seen them play, but it was well worth the $90 I shelled out for tix. The advertised gate opening time was 4pm, and we got there at about 2.45pm - stood in line near the front for about 2 hours until 4.40-ish when they finally opened the gates. Got an awesome spot right at the front near the barrier so we could see really well.
The support acts were crap (especially the second one - anybody know who chose them?) but finally at about 8.10pm the main attraction began, to the sound of the Enter the Dragon Theme song. The set list was pretty much the same as all the other concerts - but I thought the time went by so quickly despite the 15 or so songs. I guess time flied when you're enjoying yourself. Jay had so much energy for someone who was playing his 81st gig this year. A huge cheer went up when he informed the crowd about the Grammy nominations too - which was good to see. Also good to see was a bit of political venting against George Dubya. Tosser. Anyway...
But by far and away the highlight of the night was when Jay jumped off the stage to shake everyone's hands! Being at the front, I got a real good look at the man and managed to get a decent piece of hand too. What a champion!
In summary - an unbelieveable experience. Totally blew my mind away.
Hope they come back soon! |
