Bonjour colleage! Yeah, of course I have read the great news at your site yesterday! For all who haven't seen it or don't understand French I will tell you what David wrote at http://frenchiroquai.com : The upcoming Jamiroquai DVD will be released on 4 November. The DVD contains the gig in Verona/ITALY which was filmed on 8 June 2002. Title: Live In Verona Setlist: - Twenty Zero One - Cosmic Girl - Main Vein - Love Foolosophy - Canned Heat - Titan - Blue Danube - Bad Girls - Corner Of The Earth - Little L - High Times - Virtual Insanity - Deeper Underground - Alright - Love foolosophy (10 minutes) Where have you this information from, David? I have searched half of the internet but couldn't find any official announcement... ...so I can't confirm this information. But I am optimistic that David knows what he writes... i am not buying it yet (the news, not the dvd). 1. there is no official source, who has confirmed this information (sorry david, but i am a bit suspicious) :2scratchchin: 2. the 'official cover' so looks not like any of the AFO-stuff. look at the album, the maxi-cds, posters, everything. i would think, that they would stick with the usual design (as i have worked in corporate design for the last four years basicly, i know, that it is the worst thing to do to change the design-stil right in the middle of a running campagne) nope, that bear here is pretty careful not to get too exited _________________ Dear Auntie Em. David, it's nothing personal i asure you! i am just suspicious, because there is no official anouncement. i would be as suspicious as i am now if funkin-david (forgot his last name) or CosmicMouse would have posted these news. (well, in case of CosmicMouse, i would torture her untill she reveals her secret source to me ) you can't trust the official page, i do know that. if the dvd comes in november, they probably will have it in the news in january (if they have it at all...) i do know, that jay always used to say, that the dvd will be released in 2002 and yes, i would be the first one, who would buy it of course. why do make your source such a secret? give us a hint! we don't want to get our hopes up, just to have them crushed again _________________ Dear Auntie Em. The Verona DVD controversy... Hello, :bm_r: Thanks for posting the news anyway, CosmicMouse, still good to hear something about this reclusive release. But I would have to agree with Bear, could possibly be not Official. Sony would have a complete update of the Official Site, with a special mini-window with exclusive footage of the DVD by now. In any case, I hope they have a U.S. release date soon, it would make a perfect Christmas gift to myself! Thanks for listening and the usual props to CosmicMouse and Bear! Peace! Even when the official site sends out that "bi-yearly" e-mail saying "...blah blah blah the single is coming out on the 25th blah..." I don't believe it, and it never does come out when they say it will! Even when Jay opens his big blabber mouth and says things like: "we're gonna release the title track, in April..." or "I thought we were coming out here and doing a 2 hour set...", I don't believe it! ehmmm... jamirofan, when was the last time you visited the official page? there is no chance that they would update the page in time. as far as i know, the band is still without a keyboarder, because tobi has announced that he will leave the band and no new keyboarder has been assigned yet. ;)

@david: come one, mate, don't get upset because we don't fall head over heal for these news. there have been so many rumors with jamiroquai and so many delays with official releases. like i said, i will be the first one in front of the store on nov. 4th if the dvd is released then.
it seems, that you have a secret source, that you are not willing to reveal (someone working for sony? someone from the band? someone working for the band?). that's fine and up to you! Smile

but in this case i will stay suspicious until i can preorder the dvd at amazon.de or at my local video-store Wink

As far as I know David, he has never announced something untrue, so from my point of view I can trust him, but there is no need to wonder when other fans remain suspicious. That's only natural when there is no official source. Or is frenchiroquai an official source? I think it's good to be suspicious in a way, because release dates can be postponed. Nobody would believe me or other webmasters of unofficial jami-sites either, if we acted in such mysterious ways. Keep up your good work and keep us informed, David!
