A Discussion: The Directors Label Series
The second installment of this series has been out for a couple of months now, and I was wondering what everyone else thinks about this that owns it. I'm sure we're all pretty familiar with Jonathan Glazer -- the director of the famous virtual insanity video and some work with Massive Attack, but there's three other directors featured, too -- one of my personal favorites is Anton Corbijn.
I was actually a bit disappointed by the amount of videos on the Glazer disc at first, but then real through Universal that he hasn't done a ton of them (apparently he's been too busy with feature films). My two favorites of his are Virtual Insanity and Radiohead's Street Spirit, great one, too.
Anyone else have some comments about the Glazer disc in particular or the rest of the series. If you haven't heard of this before, I strongly suggest researching it a bit or renting the Glazer disc from your local video store, really, really cool.

The Glazer DVD appears to be the only one (of either series) that I've not yet seen in the shops. Grrrr. But one of my flatmates during my first year at uni bought the Spike Jonze one and that had some very interesting stuff on it... didn't particularly like all of it (music or vids), but it certainly couldn't be criticised as bubblegum pop...
