I voted for TWM, but I have to say, that the inside booklet of EOPE also a favorite is of mine, you know the very coloured drawing?!
I had a poster hanging in my room for years with that drawing on it, but when I moved out I never hang it again........ Maybe I should hang it again! _________________

i was about to put TWM - quite a cool concept. but after some long thought, decided to make it second to the jami first cover of all time. no frills, just basic black and white, unveils the image and font of jamiroquai to the world. just says nothing but everything about them, really.
the artwork inside is another story altogether...
emailed the dude who painted it and he told me that he had plans of auctioning off the original EOPE artwork off at eBay or something... anybody hear about that? BTW this artist, james marsh, has done some badass sh*t masterpieces.
PS kudos to the dude/s behind the AFO design work... for giving it a troo cool BLOO theme!

EOPE....booklet art!
Hello everyone, :jay2:
Well, it was a hard decision, but I had to vote for the "EOPE", the most simple and most memorable of all Jamiroquai covers (Though the "TWOM" sticks in my mind more!). I remember when the expression on my complete bliss etched itself on my face when I bought my first copy of "EOPE" on vinyl in late 92', I remember ripping off the predictably unbreakable shrink-rap off the vinyl and unfolding the album and gasping in awe at the beautiful painting of the band, I still consider that piece of art as the best Jamiroquai artwork EVER made! In regards to Davina, I really hope the gentleman artist who painted that piece does auction off the original artwork, cause I would definitely be first in line with a hand full of dough! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 |

i kinda doubt that "a handfull of dough" will be enough. i remember checking out some original paintings from this guy, which were on sale somewhere on the internet (can't find the link anymore) and they were everything but cheap. maybe if i sell my car (or my kidney) i would be able to afford it, but otherwise i don't think so... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. If the vote was also about the artwork inside, I'd vote for EOPE, but since it's only about the cover, I give my voice to Synk.
the cover is the only good thing there! (just kidding) |

I've voted for Synkronized. I find the "mirror buffalo man" very stylish. The booklet is great too. |

I'm with smellbob and marty - aesthetically, the funk odyssey art rocks my world - it's all about the rainbow laser beams - there's something about them which hurts my eyes in a good way..... |

i reckon the return of the space cowboy is the best...it's simple, yet there's more to it than meets the eye (to me anyway), its straightforward yet i can look at it, guffaw then say 'kewl' |

I have to agree with Davina about EOPE: It's the original and the best. It was the beginning of an Acid Jazz/Soul/Funk/Dance Odyssey (excuse the pun!). I remember getting that album and listening to it day in day out for months, reading the booklet over and over, looking at it and wondering if it would be the only one.
The simple black BM on the white background, the message written inside, it all made promises of good things to come.
I also have the inside cover as a poster, one of my oldest posters and most favourite, hung on what I call my "jamiroquai Wall" (dammit, I have too many posters and not enough space!).
