Necessary gear for gigs in 2004/2005
Hello
I made up with list of things you'll need to take with you when you'll go to 2004/2005 concert.
Digital camera:
Small digital camera which you can use for taking pictures or recording video. It's good to have big memory card too (see bellow)
miniDV camera:
miniDV digital camera to record video concert. Video concerts are usually worth more than audio concerts.
It's good to enter party place very early to take the best place for recording.
Digital voice recorder with removable memory card:
Voice recorder for recording audio. As with camera, you'll need to find best place, not too close to speakers.
Glossy postcard:
Glossy postcard with motive of Jay or Jamiroquai for autographs.
Water resinstant marker:
After Jay signing, you will of course save it because He touched it.
Other accesories:
For more data
For better performance
For stiller picture
And someone to help you holding this stuff
There might be problems with some of this stuff to get it on area, but I'm sure you have big imagination and will handle that. I know I will |

Another thing I will pack in my bag is this:

EvoV: Yes, miniDV can shoot pictures and record sound, but it won't record video, take pictrues and record good quality sound at the same time (<-- sorr5y, couldn't help it). You need to record whole video, not just clips.
Besides, device, that is made especially for its purpose does better than multipractic (kitchen machine ) device. Meaning, audio recorder will record better sound than a video camera or digital camera.
MiniDV cameras can take pictures, but it has bad optic for that and only around 1.3 megapixles. Digital cameras have you know how much. And better optics.
About smuggling. I said use imagination For example. You go to party area one week before date and dig stand somewhere haha, just joking. It could go without stand.
Yes, they don't allow cameras in. That's why you'll use small miniDV cameras and with little creativity hide it somewhere.
You could trouble organisators from your country to give you press card.
There are so many ways ... |

Poooh if I should take all this stuff with me I couldn't enjoy the gig. I can't boogie and at the same time record a concert. So I will only take a little digi camera (just for some nice pics) - together with the band after the gig????? and a pen with a cd booklet for autographs. The most important thing is to get into first row !!!!! |

Yes, you two are right. The boogie would indeed suffer.
But look from the other side. You can watch it at home
Ok, let's develop this further: You would or attach put voice recorder for example on fence. You would photograph normally (whenever you feel). For camera, you would hold it in one hand and point it towards stage or Jay. You wouldn't have to look through it.
Well, I must tell you although I haven't been on any gig and would really like to experience that, I'm a bootleg collector (just check my site) and bootleg from Slovenia (hahahaha, , Slovenia) would really be something. That doesn't mean I would sell it (like some guy is selling Mallorca DVD & CD for 60 euros), I would trade it for Eurockeennes |

You know, I think it's about time they started selling inflatable buffalo men at gigs!
Is that too much to ask?! _________________

WhaT? you must be joking , i got a mini dv camera , and its the same than a video camera...see it got a tape to record the all movie and a said that ca record sound OBVIUS , and take photos (some machines).
on my machine can do it like...take photos..and that are saved on Memory card...and the movie continue to be recording on tape
Look fine before buy a camera
The time of movie record depends on mini dv tape...60 minutes 90 or 120.
that part of sound...many cameras ...like my can link to computer...and with the software ,can extract the sound to a mp3 file.
Obvius i can make like clips , record...pause...record....pause....record..pause
Is the same than a Video Recording Camera ehheheh _________________ hooked up |

What ?
By minidv camera, I mean -->
and by digital camera or camera, I mean -->
miniDV camera or camcorder: it records video and sound (OBVIOUS), take pictures (with 1.3 megapixles). It's main purpose is to RECORD MOVING PICTURES WITH SOUND
digital camera: can take pictures (with 4 or more or less megapixles). You can also record video (and sound obvious) with it. but, it's main purpose is to TAKE PICTURES. Yes, you can record video with it, but it's not as good as miniDV camera (camcorder).
Voice recorder: It's main purpose is to record audio right? I pressumed that sound recorded with this device would be in better quality than sound recorded with Camera or miniDV camera m'kay?
If you don't agree with small digital miniDV camera (camcorder), you can always take this one -->
, but you'll probably have problems getting it in your pocket.
As you can see, all devices I named are digital. I think I don't need to explain why. |

guys,
Im not sure if security is laxed where you guys live and go see gigs, but where I'm from, especially at the big arena shows, that stuff isn't allowed in the building. They pat you down and use metal detectors on you, and if they find it they confiscate it.
They do this for 2 reasons: 1) all the 9/11 security stuff. 2) Most bands get all anal about people bootleggin their performances because they don't want anyone makin money off their performances without the band itself getting a taste of the action. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... Well, in USA it's of course different.
Here in Slovenia, security only searches you (standardly, nothing special) and nothing else. It's not so hard to smuggle stuff in. We also don't have big arenas. Other qeustion is if the Jamiroquai would come here.
Well, you all know how people smuggle flares to football games. haha, I wouldn't go that far, even for Jamiroquai. |

Unneeded items to take to a Jam concert..
Hello,
Interesting topic, of course when I saw Jam in 97' at 9:30 Club in DC, I barely to fit MYSELF in the crowd jamming that venue . Here is a list of stuff that you should NEVER take to a Jam concert...hehe:
Issues of Rolling Stone magazine with unfavorable reviews of Jam albums to be autographed.
Apples or any kind of produce you can use to pelt guys blocking your view standing in front of you.
A copy of "Synkronized" to have new Jam bassist Alex Meadows autograph and stupidly ask him, "You think your better than Stu & Nick?".
A herd of cows to maintain a fresh milk supply.
Maroon 5, just to have them watch your car in the parking lot so it doesn't get stolen.
I hope you heed this list, it can really help you save time and money! Ha Ha Ha! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

oh god don't remind me of that Britney cover...
I have a Rolling Stone subscription, and when I opened the mailbox and saw that cover (I had no clue she was gonna be on it) I froze, and my jaw dropped to the ground. That photographer must've had a boner unless he moonlights as a playboy photographer.
BTW: Some idiot writer from Rolling Stone in an issue a couple of years ago said Jamiroquai didn't deserve to be at Woodstock. An issue of Blender about a year ago said they were one of the 25 worst bands ever. You see how Jam doesn't get any cred in the U.S. People!? _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like...
