Official dvd?
Anybody konws something about a release of a new dvd of the last tour?

No, there is no official release. And I haven't heard about plans so far. But who am I to set prognoses... 
People put rumous in circulation but more to fool others, than to spread insider informations. So don't believe the hype! 
...and pray that someone hears our daydreams... I would love to have a dynamite tour dvd!!

mojo,
at the new york and chicago jamiroquai concerts in 2005, a guy was filming. in new york, he came over to us in line and started talking to us. we asked what he was filming for and what he told us was it is a dvd that revolved around 'a day in the life of jay' sort of thing. that is all he told us. he is the same guy that was in the SDISJ video, and i THINK the same guy that directed that.
he did not saying anything more about it including when it was going to be released and IF it was going to even be released. he was just gathering footage. don't know if it's an official thing or not.
this is when he filmed the tattoos and went and showed jay and the guys backstage and during the concert jay says to one of the ladies with the tats (my friend), 'i saw your tattoo..lovely'. good memories that day.
anyway, so that is all i know. anything outside of this post, i'm not sure about. |

The "news" about a release of an official DVD is a fake. But it doesn't mean that Sony BMG won't release one. We simply don't know for sure. It's possible they want to squeeze out as many pennies as possible if/when Jamiroquai leave the label.
However, it's been confirmed that several gigs have been filmed with professional equipment. Maybe it's not for a DVD release and only for TV broadcasting purposes. But I'm quite sure such material will be recorded and put on unofficial DVDs like so many other gigs. |

I'm quite sure they will release another DVD soon or later, I mean, is the new market! Even if they end their contract with Sony, everybody is releasing a DVD every one or two years, aproximately. If they decide to continue with the band, they know that live they are better than on the records, Jay said that. So, is just a matter of being patient to see another live DVD, or the complete Videography (for the Greatest Hits maybe?? Like the Chemical Brothers??). Who knows.

u kno wot.... diego makes quite a good point there
we dont kno about this greatest hits album right? i mean apparently know its gonna be the last release from there contract right
but
they could pull a chemical brothers and also include live footage on it aswell.... ! it could be a dvd like it.....
now that would be sweet and i could possibly see that happening! hmmm |
