wicked track, peeps! 2yes i can't get enough of it (i even got it, as my signature!-lol), esp. the keys that toby plays are like beyond amazing! i'm digging it, very much! twins lol

and when JK sings, "oooooooo now nothing, can ever be so clear, lalalala-lalalala-lalalala-lala...." it's so joyful & cheerful!

the overall song, fits so well together, it's euphoric, it gives me a feeling of happiness biglove & it makes me want to dance my frigging pants off.....just strunt my stuff! LOL i bumpin' heart it!

what's your opinion on this song, peeps? another smile

I agree Queen Of Funk! This tune is wicked!
This song is brilliant. Like you say, Toby is brilliant on the keyboards and Jay's vocals are cheerful (lalalala lalalala). I recently purchased the cdsingle of this song (another one to my collection Smile ) and there are some wicked remixes. There is a full horns mix where the vocals are sang totally differently by Jay and I actually prefer this version to the original version.

Oh Do You Know, now where your going to. Hey do you know, where your coming from. Hey have you been, somewhere you've never ever been before, oh now nothing can ever be so clear, lalalala, lalalala, lalalalalalalalaaaa. Definately my favourite part! alright

Wink Once again, I am surfing on the same wave as you, Queen Very Happy .

Still "cheerful" is not the word I would use to describe the feelings 2goodvibes that "Do you know..." awakes in me.
I would say it is more like a psychedelic 2upsidedown track. The repetitive text makes me think of an hypnotic formula used to fall into transe. I mean a beautiful transe that makes you fly high and feel in harmony with the people around you and your environment.

When I listen to " Do you know", I tell myself (like for a few other Jami songs) that there is no need using drugs when music is able to send you so high 2lick and to give you an almost mystical somersault experience.

Oh No, Didgin. Good that you are here to open my eyes.

I never noticed this line in "Hooked Up". (I do not like this song particularly, so I have not listened to it for a long time). Embarassed I feel ashamed I wrote down an idea, that came originally from a Jamiroquai song. This is not very original! Laughing

I THINK 'HOOKED UP' IS A GREAT TUNE!!! Not the bands best though. Not by far. But I really love the music in this song. Infact, I have the instrumental version on the 'Blow Your Mind' single which I prefer to the album version with lyrics.

" I'm so glad I got you Hooked Up on my drug, everybody dance to the music"!

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM is I think the most euphoric, lyrical tune done by Jamiroquai. The instrumentals send me into that trance (it's great for writing acid poetry) but none inspire such an ease of mind and sensation of feeling as DO YOU KNOW.....

It's incredible, the drum beat is so fast, and yet it's gentle enough to lull me into a dream.

No dream is like a dream inspired by DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM, MUSIC OF THE MIND, JOURNEY TO ARNHEMLAND, MORNING GLORY, DIDGITAL VIBRATIONS, AND SPACE COWBOY (INSTRUMENTAL). You should try it.....You'll float into the heavens and drift into the cosmic vibes.

Feels Good, I've Journeyed to the outer atmospheres, and every breath I take just makes it clear: I'm holding heaven in my hands.

big hat

I like Hooked Up too. I didn't use to like it, but it grew on me.

i get that kind feeling whenever i listen to "Digital Vibrations". it's one of those chill out songs, that just makes you forget about your troubles & your other surroundings & just concentrate on that one song & your the state of mind you're in. another smile
