450,000 Euros?
i don't know how credible this is, and i'm sure the price would change with each market (location, whether they are headlining or not, etc.), and they do have to pay the guys, the crew, etc. i'm certainly guessing the travel is not included in this price. but then again, i don't know
with big name corporate sponsors, it shouldn't hurt the festival's pocket too much to pay for them. then again, if the sponsor doesn't like jamiroquai or feel they won't profit, then...oh anyway, just something interesting to pass the day!

Nowadays stars like Jamiroquai command up to 450,000 Euro for a single concert. Robert Plant costs 75,000 Euro today compared to 25,000 Euro in 2004. One reason for this hike is the loss in CD sales so their agents try to recoup lost earnings by hiking appearance fees. It does mean that some musical acts that are invited to perform are disinvited, as the fee they ask is too high. According to Viviane she struck The Pixies off the schedule because of the 300,000 Euro asking price and Depeche Mode joined them in the sidelines, as 400,000 Euro would have bankrupted her jazz bank.

that would be up to $570,000 US Dollars right?....damn! at the rate i'm going, it'll take me about 10-12 years to make that!

Well, go figure!
That`s some real bucks.
I feel good when I read that sola or somebody else on the band is doing side projects cause they must get paid (considerably) nice, and they keep on working...
hardest working band... just like beck said about the flamming lips...
