Question about a Brand New Heavies promo CD... please help!
I was looking through my CD collection and found something I forgot I had in my possession.
A Brand New Heavies CD promo with catalogue number BOBNH1. It has songs from the re-release of "The Brand New Heavies" featuring N'dea Davenport and "Brother Sister".
The track listing is as follows:
!. Never Stop, 2. Midnight At The Oasis, 3. Back To Love, 4. Dream On Dreamer, 5. Spend Some Time, 6. Stay This Way, 7. Dream Come True, 8. Don't Let It Go To Your Head, 9. Close To You.
I believe this promo was released in 1994. The silver CD label is green, the "elephant logo" is present in white printing on the top. The lower part says "The Brand New Heavies" with the logo font in white and then there's the track listing, also in white. Under the tracks there's a small white round logo with an ear and the letters ffrr. It also says (very small) Full Frequency Range Recordings. The cover is a brown recycled paper style cardboard sleeve which is white inside. There's a black/white horizontal strip around the sleeve. The front says "The Brand New Heavies" with the elephant to the left of the text. All in white on black background. The back of the strip has the track listing in white text on black background. It also has the elephant logo in black on white background to the left of the track listing. Both cover and disc are labeled "Promo only not for resale BOBNH1".
So... after this rather lengthy description my question is whether anyone know anything about this promo release? Released in what country (I suspect it's an US release, but I'm not sure)? Is is rare? Anything you know would help me out a lot. I've had this in my collection in at least 10 years. It's been played once. Thanks in advance! |
