2 new songs
2listen Has anyone heard the new songs of Jamiroquai yet?
You can currently listen to them on the funkin.com. Thanks again, Mr Rowe! good

The first one is titled "Funk Odyssey". Some say it has already been played live a couple of times.
From the first sounds of the keyboards, I thought they were going to play "Deeper underground". Confused This track lacks a little bit of originality, for my taste.

The second one is brand new hot material and is called "Taking me higher".
It starts with a (heavy) rock intro and then slips gently into a much lighter soul kind of dreamlike tune where the keyboard and the back vocals seem to float in the air... actually taking you higher Wink . Then it comes back to the rock part.
An interesting idea to switch from heavy to light in the same song.
clapping I pretty like it.

I downloaded them both from funkin.com, but with the low quality I cannot tell the lyrics or how good is the music Sad

Yes, heard them! clapping
Indeed, the quality is bad, but I am very thankfull that some japanes fans and Mr. Rowe made it possible to hear them, even in low quality.

From what I could hear, I would say that I prefer Funk Odyssey, and I agree with you sunrayvibe, that it sounds like Deeper Underground at the beginning. Very Happy

The two new songs of Jamiroquai...
buffaloman_B Hello everyone, :bm_b:

Well, that great David put online the two new Jamiroquai songs, and my opinion, looks like the old sound hasn't been forgotten! Kind of daring of JK and company to pull out these 6th album samples even before going on break! I love both songs, "A Funk Odyssey" I'm guessing was cut from AFO, a great rousing rump shaker of a track! And "Cannabis" could replace "Space Cowboy" as the new Jamiroquai anthem for weed, starts out with a "Deeper Undergroundesque" beginning and rolls and bowls alll over the place! Both songs rock, and if you haven't heard them, run over to the Funkin.net and hear them before they are gone. Thanks for listening and the usual props to CosmicMouse and Bear! I'm feeling much better now too, I'm gotten over my major illness, the nasty cold/flu that's spreading around *SNEEZE*, OH DARN, Time to buy more Halls lozenges! LOL Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
