Oh dear... still missing 8 days to the final end of this item... and FRA already in 1st place giving 76 €!
I hope you can get this item FRA since it seems to be so wanted... but probably this will get very high in the price... i hope you can make it!
Good luck... _________________

just a hint: I would always start to bid a few seconds (not more than 1 minute!) before the auction is ending. so the price won't go so high. It is still 8 days to go, so why are you bidding already?? You give other people the chance to bid higher!
When the auction is near the end I would think about the maximum price I would be able to pay and then I would place my bid maybe 40 seconds before the end, then you have time for a second bit, if it wasn't enough money. So you don't give other people the chance to outbid you.
It doesn't make sense to bid so early!!!
Good luck, anyways, Fra!!

Well... €302 wasn't enough. I almost regret I didn't bid 400... I guess I'll have to accept the fact that this box is something that will be missing in my collection for a very long time... i seriousl doubt I'll ever get it.
Oh well...
Ok now, jeremoquai... fess up!!! Who are you? Weren't you the one who tried to sell the 'Live At French TV' CDS with a very high reserve and never got it sold?
Now I'm going to make myself happy and buy some other things at random. |

What is this item exactly? Is it rare? I take it it is by the large price it's gone for? |

It's a 5CD box made in 3500 copies and released only in France during 1994. All of them are numbered. All the CDs but one were available as loose copies. The one specific for this box is 'Live AT French TV'. These are the tracks:
When You Gonna Learn (Live At Taratata) (2:25)
Tighten Up (Live At Le Cercle De Minuit) (4:3
Too Young To Die (Live At Nulle Part Ailleurs) (5:16)
The one sold this time wasn't in a very good condition. €300 was actually more than I was prepared to pay... but I got desperate towards the end.
If a box in mint or near mint condition comes up I'm definitely going to bid more. But I have a feeling many people threw away the actual box when they bought this back in '94. Finding a mint one would be rather impossible. Those are with collectors not willing to sell them.
There are even rarer things though. Some things are rare beyond belief. The French Box was after all made in 3500 copies... imagine things that were made in 50-100 copies...or less! Now we're talking some serious moolah to get those. |

Oh... I thought he never got it sold. So... selling the single and adding another 23EUR gave him the whole box. Good deal!
I didn't want to bid more since this particular box was in pretty bad shape. I had a mail conversation with the seller and it was clearly in more bad shape than I prefer... but on the other hand... better a bad one than none at all so I bid 302EUR which was more than I had planned. For one in mint condition I'm prepared to pay more, maybe a lot more. |

Thanks Space Clav Now I know it's rare I want one! hehe. Are those three live tracks not available on anything else then? I've never heard them, or of them! And €300 is around £200 isn't it?! If I had that sort of money I would be tempted like you to get a mint condition one. I think the condition is important, although saying that some of my Jami items have gone in bad nick over the years And what kind of items are rarer?? Is the Morning Glory US promo (which I don't have, but I want) rarer than the French Box?? |

I suppose Morning Glory is even more rare than the French box. I'd say Everyday and If I Like It I Do It are as well.
The BBC Transcriptions and the Live Radio special promos are definitely more rare. These are rare beyond belief. |
