I know, I know... I have read people mentioning and recommending Jamie Cullum songs for quite some time, but it took a bit of time for me to finally check it out! And I am hooked!! I already bought 3 albums and cannot stop hearing them all day long.

So, I thought I dedicate one topic to this genius talented young guy, because I have the feeling I am not alone here with my euphoria! somersault

I am going to see Jamie Cullum in August in Germany! My tickets arrived two days ago and I am really excited! I've heard he is so great live!

anyway, i'll let you know how the j.cullum show is. it sold out last time Smile

I AM SO EXCITED BECAUSE.....

i planned on going to see jamie in new york, but the tickets sold out fast! so i figured i was going to have to buy one on ebay or craigslist as the date got closer, but as i'm sitting home sick, i was looking on his website and saw that he is coming to my hometown of philadelphia (2 hours from new york) and performing at a venue a few steps from my work. but on his website, it says tickets are sold out to it, so i was pissed again.

but then i called the center and tickets aren't sold out and i bought one! so now, i'm going to see mr.cullum in my hometown on 3/27! and i don't have to go to new york. and the ticket price was so much cheaper than new york. and i got orchestra seats.

i can't wait Very Happy

i was over reading his message boards. they are quite informative and great. funny thing is he admitted vomiting during the recording of 'i'm glad there is you'. he said his shrimp lunch came up and then he just kept singing and that if you listen closely, you can hear him getting sick. ew!! i'm listening carefully to it now to see if i hear it. because i never noticed it.

also, they are doing a really cool fundraiser over there to win a bunch of stuff. it's a raffle. i bought 5 tickets. it's for a great cause and look at what you can win. i was thinking about something like this involving jamiroquai...hmmmm.....me and my ideas Twisted Evil anyway, cullum fans, check this out. sorry it's so long!!!

Tickets are 1 pound/€ 1,50 each.

How can I obtain raffletickets?
You can obtain them by doing any of the following:

* send a PayPal payment to pnraffle@gmail.com, using a credit card or money in your PayPal account. Please something to cover the PayPal fees, you can work it out here: here. Please make your payment in euros, as it will make the fees less. Please make sure to add the amount of tickets you are buying. State your forum name as well, please.

* send a cheque, made out The Samaritans to:
Air Management
2a Ferry Road

Or attach the confirmation page you see when you've donated. But please do let us know you've made a donation anyway.

* international money orders: PM me and I will give my details, as I haven't heard back from The Samaritans if they accept them or not, so you can do it through me and I'll make sure money reaches The Samaritans.

We can only accept payment this way. I CANNOT CHARGE CREDIT CARDS DIRECTLY. I HAVE NO FACILITIES FOR THAT.

How will I receive my raffle tickets?
Once your payment has been received you will be emailed your raffle tickets, i.e. numbers. It is important to keep hold of this email as you will be asked to email it back to us for confirmation if you are a winner.

Is there a minimum or maximum to the tickets you can buy?
No, you can buy as many tickets as you wish. Of course, the more tickets, the higher the chance you win something.

How does the draw work?
All numbers that have been given out will be entered in a draw. I will video the draw and stream it on Putfile or something, so everyone can see it.

When is the deadline for payments?
The cut off date for receiving payment will be Friday March 3rd, 6 PM UK time. If you pay by cheque or international money order, please make sure it reaches Air Management or me before this date, so I can do the final check on February 17th.

When will the winners be announced?
The winning numbers will be announced on PN on March 4th. Winners should get in touch with us a.s.a.p. after the draw on pnraffle@gmail.com. Your prize will be sent out after that.

Please include your forum name in all communications with us

Thanks to Mokuscam, Gary from Air, Geoff for the score, Kenny for the cartoon and Penny for sorting out some of the prizes. And of course anon for the iPod Video 30gb!

Hello Jamie fans! Very Happy

I found out a little interesting bit that connects Jamie Cullum with Jamiroquai.

I found out that Jamie's big brother Ben Cullum (who is also the co-writer of Jamie's music) has been a session musician, to be exact a session bass-player for Jamiroquai. Never heard of this information, and I couldn't find anything about it even on funkin. Has anyone more information about it?
Question When was he playing with Jamiroquai and where?

Another musician both artists have in common is our man Martin Shaw, who played the trumpet on Jamie's albums. But this was posted long ago somewhere here, so that isn't really a new information. Just mentioned it for those who don't know yet.

Martin Shaw

Nobody found out, when (or if) he played as a session bassist with Jamiroquai? Rolling Eyes
Maybe it is just a rumour - I will try to find out at the Jamie Cullum forums. They should know...
