JAMIROQUI SET TO BREAK UP END OF THIS WORLD TOUR 2002.
Yes thats right could our worst fears become true. Last night at the Sydney show JK confirmed that in 2003 he will be having a break, could this mean a break for good? could this be the rumored split of Jamiroqui, unfortuneately i think it might be. He says after 12 yeras hes a bit tired.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK IS THIS THE RUMORED SPLIT OR WHAT? |

Jumping the gun////
Hello, :bm_b:
I think Catinthehat is jumping the gun here. JK in several interviews has shown a true wanting of taking a year off from the business, finding a oasis, take the band with him, and spend the time resting, relaxing and brainstorming ideas for upcoming songs for the 6th album. Hopefully by then, J and the gang will be rested and have reawakened the old sound in full effect just in time when Toby returns to Jamiroquai and J and Tob can compare songs notes and start the amazing song writing again! So don't worry, Jamiroquai will not break up, just taking a extended leave, so chin up ! Thanks for listening and the usual props to CosmicMouse & Bear! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

JAMIROFAN'S THOUGHT OF THE POST
-----------------------------------------------------------
Jamiroquai have already given a indication on where
they are going musically with the next album. With the
new songs "A Funk Odyssey" and "Cannabliss" (debuted
in Japan on Oct. 29th at the Budacon!), looks like the old
sound is back in full effect with a little of the new mixed in!

yeah, once again I'm with Jamirofan here... (Jamirofan, Jamirofan, Jamirofan - you are such a masterful asset to this forum - keep it up pal! )
anyway, what was i saying? Oh yeah, i think we should all and not get all worked up each time lets us know he's tired...coz frankly, after 10 years, who wouldn't be? 10 years? C'mon, the man is more than entitled to the occasional whinge.
Anyway, my mum reckons venting is healthy - how does that old saying go?.... ''better an empty house than a bad tenant''...
But yeah, as for this break biz - well, I'm all for the guys recharging the ol' batteries if it means they'll present us with a tasty new album, jam packed with yummy fresh tracks at the end of it.
But do remember peoples, (especially you inthehat ) a 'break' is very, very different from 'breaking up'...
keep dem fingers crossed!
dan
P.s. cat, how was the concert? |

gawsh, don't scare me like that! curse those gimmicky capitals! i thought it was something i missed at funkin or something! it's not too unusual for any band to take a break so i doubt it's a topic worth worrying about. besides, it's been 10 years already, they have that rare staying power in the industry... and jay and gang are doing something they love. would they be foolish enough to give it up so easily yet? chop off my legs and call me Shorty if they do. |

AAH i almost died just then! You really should be more careful when using caps...sheesh!
Yeah, i guess i was a bit freaked when i heard about the release of the box set and then the little break that Jay talked about at the concert. maybe they just wanna chill and stop performing for a year. if i was them, i would be inspired to write more songs after the success of A Funk Odyssey and i would be so damn tired from all the publicity they've been swamped with.
i'm sure they just want to concentrate and try to produce some more sounds to fill our happy little hearts with.
i'm still groovin'

Jamiroquai is not breaking up...
Hi guys,
No need to stress! Apparently it was some rumor and a friend of mine was telling me today that she heard some interview and the drummer said that they just want to have a break, and get back to their old style (as he's not happy with the over-electronic-digitally fake sounds - perhaps he feels the dance stuff doesn't allow him to show his true drumming talents! I can understand this as my ex-boyfriend is a drummer)
Anyway, this is not a bad thing! I love Funk Odyssey but I still love they're early stuff too... It's so raw... Anyway... either way, Jamiroquai and Jay are the kings of funk, and dance, and ... they are so talented I have to say, they are the ONLY band on earth (apart from The Beatles) where I love EVERY SINGLE ALBUM. And song. That is impressive (for me anyway).
So, on that note, I'm going to see Jamiroquai on Monday AAaaahh! Can't wait... I saw him at Vibes of Summer last year and I was so impressed... He really is nice to his fans... Girls were jumping on stage and security was trying to drag them away and Jay told security to ignore them! So he let them dance on stage with him for the rest of the show! Wow.
Wish I was going to the second concert too... So all you Melbournians... See ya there! |
