Jay's moves
Ok, so we all know Jay has wicked moves.
Is there a video or time/era you think sums up what Jay can do on the dance-floor?
Imagine you are introducing someone to Jamiroquai. What would you show them? |

Virtual Insanity! Amazing video in which Jay presents his skills on the moving dancefloor (in fact, between the moving walls of course).
Besides I love Jay dancing in almost the whole Live In Verona gig. The way he moves during Titan on the DVD is very impressive. |

I second that, Jeroen!!
Also, I really dig his moves from the Space Cowboy video!! Just love it!

Although i agree totally with the comments about Verona, if i were introducing someone to JMQ and Jays skills it would have to be Space Cowboy....some of the moves he makes are incredible |

I like specially the way he moves on the Jools Holland show in 2001, when Jamiroquai peformed You Give Me Something, Main Vein, Love Foolosophy and Cosmic Girl. And the way he moves at Tokyo 1999 performing Canned Heat _________________

I have to agree with who said and confirmed the Space CowBoy video: there's simply nothing to add: it's just the JMQ video cult !!!
About live, yeah in Verona Jay gave a great and intense proof that he's the mover for excellence, he was extraordinary fantastic and involving!
I think that Janluka, who was there that nite, could better confirm it _________________

J can move!!
I love TRYING to dance to Jamiroquai in the style of J and i've been told i'm quite good
Anyway I think that Space Cowboy and Canned Heat are just unbelievable in terms of J's moves.

Absolutely!!! Jay is awesome on this show. The little combination he does in the middle of Cosmic Girl is so cool!!
I remember this show very well having recorded it of TV. In the interview with Jools Holland, Jools says that J is up there with the top dancers and J denies this and says he does'nt dance, he just 'shakes around a bit'. _________________ 'This is the world he wants, pray for the brave and the young...' |

my favorite (although very subtile) is the Tokyo 1995 live show, specifically the part where Stu is playing bass solo during We Gettin' Down where he is on one leg and moves his finger with each bass pick. Just fun to watch |

Yeah i know what you mean.........its great how he does that. To be honest he seems to be in the vibe all the way thru that track. Even when Simon does his thing on the guitar............great stuff!

Hello All,
Mr_Moon and Jamfan2005 I would have to agree with you on that concert and I know EXACTLY which part you're talking about. I would have to say I would show some one the same concert and, anybody that has this concert knows what I'm talking about, it's kind of hard to describe BUT: It's at the end when they do Space Cowboy and it's right when the camera is about to go up and focus on the Buffalo Man in the Moon and I'm pretty sure Jay defies physics once agian but going up on his toes from a full body twist? I don't know exactly how to describe it but go and watch it! Please tell me I'm not the only one out there that not only practices but perfects his moves? wouldn't it be great for the whole Jamily to meet and we could show each other our moves? _________________ "...200 miles per hour and still movin'..." |

Well, normally I'd say something obvious like the VI video or the footage (but not the music or the editing / production!) from the Live In Verona DVD, but on this ocassion, I'll break with tradition and say...
I wouldn't show them JAY dancing at all. I'd show them the 'Canned Heat' scene in 'Napoleon Dynamite'.

Heh, not bad at all!
But I'd still go with 'Space Cowboy'. |
