Your favourite artist via Jamiroquai ?
I was thinking today about this..........

Who would your say is you most favourite artist or band you have found through listening to Jamiroquai ??

I mean have you got a favourite artist who has obviously influenced Jamiroquai's music and style?

For me it would have to be the one and only -

Roy Ayers

For me now this fantastic man is one of my all time favourites now. His music is so diverse and fresh. Its strange also as i only discovered Roy Ayers through listening to Jamiroquai Wink Now i rarely go a day without listening to the albums 'Everybody Loves the Sunshine' and his 'Greatest Hits' compilation 7headphones

I would have to say my favourites tracks include -

Time and Space

Poo Poo La La

I wanna touch you baby

Running Away

Searching

I am very interested to hear about everybody else's favourite artists who have influenced Jamiroquai 2scratchchin

Ah
Roy Ayers, the Godfather of Acid Jazz: naturally fantastic.
Everybody Loves the Sunshine is one of my fav songs: one of the all time jazz greatest for the 70's.

Thankful to JMQ i discovered Kool and Gang: Light of Worlds is one of the best R & B albums ever! Every cut on this album is deep.
Their music is so smooth that you can listen or dance to it!!!!
Just beautiful, spiritual and positive

I must agree with you mr_moon. Roy Ayres music has made a great impact in my life since I first discovered his music. I partically like the CD 'Live at Ronnie Scotts' -incldes great versions of Searchin, Running Away, Cant you see me, Everybody Loves the Sunshone and Poo Poo La La.
I reguard him as the Daddy of JazzFunk and also Acid Jazz.
