European Cup semis
Well well...
Rijkaard plays his old club in one tie - and since he was in the Milan team who spanked Barca in the '94 final, I reckon he owes his current club a European Cup...
And possibly the most improbable semi-final in Champions League history in the other; a team who've previously always been shit in Europe (Arsenal) versus a team from a town whose population wouldn't even half-fill the Camp Nou.
All I shall say is that whoever wins the Arsenal-Villarreal tie, I hope for the sake of football that Barca beat Milan. Of course, I'm a Barca fan as well, but even so, much nicer to see a young, entertaining, blisteringly attacking team in the final than a bunch of old past-it farts who couldn't defend a three-goal lead against LIVERPOOL last season, and who gave us the most mind-numbing final since USA94 just three seasons ago...
Ideally for the neutral, Barca-Arsenal in the final. But you'd hardly begrudge Villarreal their day in the sun either...
