I've had the PLEASURE!
Further to the 'Jay Kay's funk encyclopedia' thread, I went out today and bought that oh-so-rare 'Best of PLEASURE' CD I found the other day.
Unbelievable. Just incredible. Possibly the outright funkiest thing I've ever heard. If you need to complete your 'Jamiroquai influences' collection, then trust me you NEED this CD.
EVERYONE should own this album! Sadly it's hard to find, so hardly anybody does. But I just wondered, has anyone else had the PLEASURE?

...I've got Pleasure after reading the 'Jay Kay's funk encyclopedia' ....downloaded from a web site (eh eh, my secret...)...and also Brand New Heavies and some material from Herbie Hancock...I had Level 42 stuff, and many others....my world is full of funk!
About Pleasure? A mix between EWF, Chic and Philly sound....they've got probably one of the best bass players in the world (after Stu, of course...) |
