Open it in Paint. Use the 'image - stretch / skew' control to keep shrinking it (say shrink it to 25% each time) until it's smaller than that size. You can see the size in pixels by going 'Image - attributes' and looking at the numbers in the 'typable' boxes, making sure 'pixels' rather than 'inches' or 'centimetres' is selected just below that.
Finally, when it's the right size, go 'File - Save As...', and give it a new name (different to the original sized image, unless you want to write over that).
I only worked this all out two weeks ago, and I'm a Jamily member of 8 years' standing, so don't feel too embarrassed at having to ask!

becca - i just used this website to do mine:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
i uploaded the picture from my computer (using the browse function) and then typed in 80 (which i think is the size limit of the jamirotalk avatar), and press upload and there you go. the link comes up and then i linked it to here.
i think you can also put images from online on there...just right click the image, go to properties, get the address from there and put it in that space, type in 80 for the size and then press upload. i haven't tried that way though, so i don't know if it works.
good luck _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
