Hi Smellbob,
Yes, it sounds good, but is it Jamiroquai who are playing?
By the way, help me fill a breach in my ignorance and explain what is a midi? _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |

Well sunrayvibe,
before mp3's there were midis. Midis have no words, and are very small files. You also asked if jamiroquai are playing.... hmmmm how can i phrase this properly?... midis are made by computers and instruments and things like that. Most midis are made by companies, like this one... I'm sorry I can't explain it in more detail, but it's hard to do so... But I hope the explanation I gave helped you. Maybe someone else can explain better than me. Anyone up for a try?? _________________

Someone takes an existing song and programs the notes into a computer. The result is a midi file, which plays the music with very simple sounds and actually, when a midi file is imported into a music-writing program, it can be translated into sheet music! I don't think the music is anything special, but the ability to make your own sheet music is incredible!
The only problem with this is, often multiple instruments' notes are put on the same track of music (When I downloaded Virtual Insanity, the piano line had 15 note chords!). If it is a well constructed midi, however, each instrument should have a separate track, and this is easily translated into a score of sheet music.
Was this helpful? I know you're German, so I don't know how difficult it is to understand technical information in a different language.
Später! |

Yay for school band! I play Trombone.
Smellbob, do you like the newer albums better than the older, acid jazz albums? It seems like you do, but I'm just curious. I did too, for a while, but now I really like the earlier stuff the best. |

Trombone? I'm envious. I want to play the trombone. I'm gonna teach myself over the summer... whoop whoop! my dad got me a trumpet for my b-day yesterday! hehehe!
Do I like the newer albums better than the older, acid jazz albums? Yes and no. I like all the albums, but the newer ones are the ones that made me fall in love with jamiroquai. I've always liked dancy disco-ish music. It's probably because I was brought up in an "all-disco" house. I'm not really sure which album is my favorite. Some days I'll like different songs than others. For example : I never really listened to butterfly before last week, and now i'm playing it 5 times a day, but by next week I'll probably like another song and ect......
In conclusion, i think i do like the newer albums rather than the older ones. But I'm not sure..... ya know what i mean??? :?
P.S. : IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY, AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING!!! _________________

Another delicious midi has been found!
HaHa! I've found another midi. Love foolosophy. It's sounds exactly like the actual song. How do these people do it so well?
It's on my site for download. http://www.geocities.com/jamoke1717/downloads.html
Enjoy! _________________

Thank you for the explanations Smellbob and Freddie!
How practical this must be if you are a musician. _________________ ?Now I've got that sunshine in my life? |
