New Jamiroquai Classic Club Summer Anthems!!!
 Hello,
 Get your modems and your computer's pay download services ready, cause according to this new update on the Official Site, it will be a HOT Summer for dance on the internet :
The following news item has just been posted at Jamiroquai.com:
Jamiroquai are delighted to announce that over the summer of 2006 they will be releasing a brand new remix each month of one of their classic club anthems on 12" vinyl and digital download. First up, on 29th May, is Joey Musaphia's remix of Space Cowboy. This stunning remix has been taking the clubs in London by storm in recent weeks. With Dave Morales's Space Cowboy classic club mix on the b-side it's going to be one gem you'll want to have in your record bag or iPod at all times. Check back here for exclusive details of next months releases. It's gonna be one funkin summer...
 Very good idea, and with individual B-Side mixes to boot ! Just the proper gimmick to tide us fans over till the Fall, tip of the hat to Sony/BMG and the involved DJs for this idea! Thanks for listening and Peace!

I'm not saying is a good, or a bad thing. I just don't feel attracted to it.

Great find. Although... I still don't understand... how many singles will they release... or... re-release?
Anyway, change the "Space Cowboy" for a "Singles 93-06". What do you think for the Greatest Hits cover? Better than the 'wordart' logo in the Dual Disc!

Ooooo, see I'm excited about the remix releases even though I'm not a fan of remixes per say...but the new songs I can dig, I just didn't want to wait til the end of 06. I'm glad they're giving us something.

theres the reason of re editing old remixes
they are releasing soon the greatest hits album and it will of course cointain old songs, and apparently the singles will ocntain also old rmeixes and new re-remixes of them......
this was the BEST chance to get unreleased material, bside and stuf flike tha ton the singles...and probably they will fail again with this....

..but this reason is not enough to reprint an another record with David Morales remix.. how many Space Cowboy version there are?.. and how many 'David Morales Classic Mix' available?..
1) bside on Stillness in time
2) bside on Alright
3) Vinyl Junkie
and now in this release.
I don't understand. Why, Sony?
Finally next works will be on another label. I hope. So Jamiroquai will be another time the feed for my faith, not for Sony business..

If you want a CD you can buy the CD promos... they will be available on eBay as soon as they're released to media and DJ's. The Space Cowboy promo CD is on eBay already. But the latest remix of a remix is nothing to get excited about. Unless you're a collector suffering from completionists phobia you're better off buying back catalogue CD singles with the original Morales remix. |
