JMQ performing at the Laureus Worls Sports Awards

 Hello,
Hmmm...this is exciting news, could Jamiroquai be testing some of the new material they are producing for the GT compilation LIVE for the first time at this gig ? I'd like to think so, but being a Sports Awards, and JK being a sports car avant garde', one of the songs will HAVE to be either "Black Devil Car" OR "Travelling Without Moving". But to REALLY surprise us, the 2nd song will have to be a NEW song, maybe "Cannabliss", or a newly modified live version of "Shoot The Moon" where JK jokingly rips up a printed out page of my lyrics to it! HEHE!  Thanks for the news import Marina and hope in some way I'm able to see these performances ! Peace!

It's not really an award show that has anything to do with sports cars, though, from what I've seen of past ceremonies. It concentrates more on proper sprts, which actually involve some physical exertion. Rather than F1, which is crap.
And I'd be really surprised if they play anything new, I'd have thought a couple of tracks from Dynamite would be more likely. It's a huge corporate event, after all...

Uoooooo!!!!! It's not a concert, I know, but I'm glad to know that Jamiroquai will be in my city in July.
I hope those awards won't be only for VIPs, and I'll try to do whatever to see them. I'm very excited!!!!! I hope that we'll know more about that event soon. |

Becca, try Channel 5, really late at night, a week or two after the event actually takes place. It's the kind of even that gets into their late-night sports programmes at some point.

Hello,
Happy to report, upon watching the Today Show this morning while preparing for work, the Laureus World Sports Awards will air on NBC Network here in the States on June 11th at 8pm EST . But they didn't say if Jamiroquai's 2 performances from the awards would be broadcasted or not, but I expect we will see something from there! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Does someone know, which 2 songs did they play?
The german news-channel "n-tv", will show a summary of the awards tomorow (24.) at 19.30. I hope, they will show the performance.

Cosmic Girl
Space Cowboy
Love Foolosophy
The band now head to Portugal for the Rock in Rio festival on Friday (26 May).

if you want to see something in CH-Television, about the awards (and maybe JK too), watch "Glanz & Gloria" on Saturday at 15.05, on SF2. |
