The next generation of drummers
Some of you already know that my son Marlin (6 years) is a drumfreak.
He is drumming on everything since he is a baby...
I managed to record him 2 days ago on several percussions/drums while he had some creative moments... it is nothing he has learned, he is improvising and extemporising - just a shame that the quality is quite bad... the sound is fully made by him alone - no fake, no additional musicians...lol
It's worth it to watch it fully, because the best parts come in the middle somewhere...
Enjoy!

.. and sorry that you have to turn your head sideways.. I know, not really professional, but i wanted to share as fast as possible!

Being a (ex) drummer myself i can really respect his skills at such a young age.
Very good indeed |

oh, thanks for sharing this meike..
that riddem on the cachon is great. it could easily be a underlying beat in a song...nice vibe to it
and i also like the djembe a lot. that is the one i played one time..but i wasn't as good as marlin.

Aside from his rythm, which he obviously has, your son actually keeps really good time for being his age! That is a HUGE step into good drumming since playing perfect time is almost impossible! |

Amazing, jamirokaki!!! This boy is (or was) 12 when this has been recorded... so Marlin has still 6 years to learn... ... I will show him this video now.. maybe this is motivating him a bit!
