THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
There are a million things that I need to be doing for the next month or so. I'm so excited and I kept thinking positive and I knew there would be hundreds of applicants, but I kept seeing myself in this internships.
My life hasn't been easy - growing up and all, but I am such a representative of what happens when you don't give up and you keep pushing on.
I am doing this for many reasons, but also to show that young, black, poor girls can make it...and we do. Also to learn more about government and be a voice for those that don't have voices.
Stay true to who I am, while learning and growing. So much is going to change...but the core of who I am...won't.

This is kind of silly but i feel the need to share my thoughts.
When i toured Europe this summer by train i met this girl in Paris whom i exchanged emails with. I wrote to her when i got home (friday) and she hasn't replied yet. Obviously not all people check their emails everyday but i'm still a bit... worried. Though i have no reason to be. I guess what it comes down too is: I hate waiting! |
