Advice Needed
okay, I could go off and talk to someone, somewhere on the net about this, but I would rather ask friends for advice - and I know many of you are in a similar position and can help.
I am having problems with my ex-husband and his new girlfiend. The girls are getting more upset each time they go to see him. To cut a long story short, the girlfriend is my cousin (therefore the girls' cousin too) and was my best friend. The children called her "auntie", then suddenly she's Dad's girlfriend.
Anyway, he's recently moved in with her and the girl's seriously miss their time alone with their Dad and they are having problems with the girlfriend.
Tonight they came home we watched some tv then I put them to bed, then they both started to cry - their Dad is having a baby with his girlfriend. They are worried about losing their Dad, and they hate the girlfriend. I told them I'd get him round, so they could tell him how they felt - I thought they'd feel better speaking to him. He answered, I told him the girls were upset, and could he come round after work tomorrow - he just replied that they were okay with the situation and "it's all in your head". He hates me so much that he is not thinking in the children.
The girls have said they dont want to go and see him anymore and to be honest I see that everytime they see him, they are losing their faith in him and they are scared of him.
I could go to the solicitors and start sorting it out legally, restrict access - and such forth - but I think that would only make the situation worse.
I am worried about what is going on in their heads, they are my girls and I hate them feeling hurt.

Meike,
You did say that it was okay for peronsal nature talk - I hope this was the right area - if not you are quite welcome to delete it , I would not be offended.
I only get offended if you call me cyclops or something of a similar nature, then I go green and explode . |
