Jay in trouble again? --> "Jay Slays Welsh"
Found on the website dotmusic.com. (Thanx, David!)

JAY SLAYS WELSH
Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay has landed himself in trouble again by telling the whole of Wales to "F*** O**!"
The star shouted the insult during a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the Mediterranean club scene.
A TV crew from Welsh channel SC4 filmed DJ Dave Pearce and Peter Stringfellow in an Ibiza nightclub and got them to say a big "Hello to everyone in Wales."
However when they asked the diminutive Jamiroquai frontman to record a greeting he yelled: "F*** O**!" I hate the Welsh!"
A member of the crew Kate Lewis said: " I was thrilled when I saw Jay Kay in the club, but he was a real pig. I've got some of his CDs but I won't be listening to them now."
A spokesperson for the star said, "We are sure Jay Kay doesn't really hate everyone who is Welsh - he is probably just joking around."
Only last month the erratic performer got himself into a fight outside a nightclub, suffering a bloody nose.

The subject should read "jay CAUSING trouble again"

yeah right. just joking around. sorry, but that's a bloody lame excuse.
he's definitly misbehaved (again). the star-wars-premiere was definitly something different. the photographer scratched his car. but i'm sorry - if i would start insulting people everytime i'm in a bad mood, i would got beaten up alot of times...
looks like, jay needs to sort out his stuff and learn how to deal with the media. it will only hurt him in the end... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

I seems to me as if he should be a bit more careful dealing with alcohol and drugs. It's really not funny to offend people with such a statement! And I can understand the journalist in her opinion not to listen to Jamiroquai albums any more (although its no punishment for him). It is simply no way to treat other people and I'm sure he has (or had) a lot of fans in Wales. |

Hi all
i think the time is near to open a new poll:
which is your favourite painfulness of jay...
really when i heard this....all i can do is going to get the ..
if it´s true... what we read ....
well, it isn´t easy to "live a public" life... we all know..., and journalist.. and paparazzi´s probably sometimes get on a person´s nerves... that you loose your head... but to discirminate all the welsh... well, it isn´t really funny... if this was a joke....
but i hadn´t seen this "situation" ... so we all don´t know what really happened....and surely i will go on listen to jamiroquai.... and i still like jay

Jay Kay: Never get a break!
Hello everyone, :jay2:
Damn, I go on a three day vacation to Virginia Beach, then this happens. Poor Jay, never seems to get a break socially, those comments by Jay were definitely alcohol-induced! I do agree with CosmicMouse, there was no excuse for his conduct, and I think he should take a extra step forward and apologize to the TV crew for his comments. I hope Jay Kay calms down, takes it easy on the booze and starts concentrating on the leftovers of their European tour and get ready for recording a demo album with Jamiroquai (Don't ask me, I read the news at Pingwin's Jamiroquai site: http://jam.pl/ ). I hope everyone has had a great summer, thanks for listening and keep up the great work CosmicMouse and Bear! Peace!
--------------------------------------
JAMIROFAN'S THOUGHT OF THE POST:
I wonder if Jay would book himself in two AA programs,
One for getting slashed and the other for giving girls rashs.

Link to news.
Hello again,
Sorry, made a HUGE snafu, Pingwin meant HIS band, not Jamiroquai, for the misinfo, I really hate it when I screw up! Thanks for listening and Peace!
---------------------------------------------
JAMIROFAN'S THOUGHT OF THE POST
If Jamiroquai did record a demo album,
should make a appearance on the net after a
studio tech secretly records their sessions, then
leaks the good on the net!

As usual...
While I was on holliday this summer , at the begining of July, I took a look at an edition of the "SUN". They were reporting that JK had been seen (there were 2 very small shots) at a club in Riccione (close to Rimini, on the Adria coast) during the Italian AFO tour.
I was so glad NOT to read that JK was drunk, agressive, high on dope or whatsoever.
The article was just mentionning that JK had "stripped off" (only his shirt, do not worry ) during the bikini contest that was taking place in the club.
I told myself: good, this guy is improving!
Well, I was rejoicing too early! |

BURNT!
Being a half welsh here i am very cut up by this.
But still - jays humour is quite different to most. Seriously we have no evidence on the tone, facial expression or body language. We dont know whether he laughed afterwards or not.
I'm not trying to be the devils advocate here but the media can manipulate things very well.
maybe it was a poor drunken joke taken badly. Who knows. We can only specualte what EXACTLY happened...
Maybe i'm trying to protect jay because i don't want anything to tarnish the opinion that i have of him!! |

i totally agree with u simone!
i reckon jay was probably just joking around when he said that and the press have just blown it out of proportion...
anyways, that doesn't really make up for what he said though - i wish he'd just stay out of trouble 4 a while! _________________ you know i heard that boogie rhythm
