Hi there

Yes, I woke up today at 6.45 am to go to college and I saw this terrible news, I could've been another catastrophe, but security in London has been very good, I must say.

10 PLANES! Damn, we should be careful, the world isn't the same anymore.

D!

The British media have reporting it as if it's bad news all day. I'd just like to say one thing - it's not. It's fucking brilliant news.

The news is - we caught these people before they were able to do it. That's a small victory for civilisation, let's not forget that. At the risk of sounding like George Bush, it shows that we can triumph over the forces of evil. We just need to keep concentrating.

Incidentally I'm still trying to work out, etymologically speaking, what he meant today by 'Islamic fascists'. There's at least one reason that doesn't make sense ('Islamic' is not the same thing as 'IslamIST', which is what he should have said), but I'm sure fascism's a slightly dodgy term to use in that context as well...

Totally right Sam!! People out there are fools if they don't think something like this could happen anytime. The risk is always there. Therefore it's not bad news when events like this happen: it's good news because what could/would have potentially happened has been caught...
