Posing?
I was wondering, why does'nt the band pose for pictures anymore? They used to do so all the time, so why can't they keep doing it? What happened to great poses like this??? :?

I am totally with you smellbob. The band in the background would also raise awareness that jamiroquai is not just JK. I have ppl going. 'whats the go with that Jamiroquai lad, hes a bit of a poser' and i have to tell them that Jamiroquai is a band and they dont believe me because they have never seen the band. only Jay.
I think it has alot to do with marketing and sony. They want a face to the name, and after the band started changing soy thought it would be wise too just keep the one, plus jay is very photogenic, he has personality and to be frank likes to draw attention to himself.
I spose in the end it has to be a buisness decision - emotions come later in the entertainment industry- right |

it puzzles me how jay can look so amazingly small...
anyway, the only pics i have seen of the current group are those ones taken by press and fans...
even the images available at the official website are 90% jay!
there should be more stylo publicity shots... granted, many bands shoot videos featuring their leading members in the spotlight, but they still do shoots together! Matchbox Twenty, Garbage, Limp Bizkit, erm, N*Sync? :P
still waiting for a bloddy good one to come out for jami... update ppl about the band, yes? makes for great signing material too. |

i couldn't agree more with you guys! I'm so sick of people going 'isn't it like, just one guy?" "JK? i thought his name was Jamiroquai". Ok maybe these people are just stupid, but yes, definetly we need to see more shots of the band as a whole. Jamiroquai is not a one man band and the musicians need more credit than they are given.
Keep groovin' all, hopefully we'll see good outcomes by the time the next album comes out

Jamiroquai not a one-man-band!
 Hello everyone, :bm_b:
Hope you all had a nice weekend, mine was nice & laidback! I agree with all your ideas, Jam truly need some publicity shots done. The bulk of the latest Jam shots are either paparazzi or public shots, the exception being on the Official (Nice pics, but we want more!). I'm hopeful there will be some new pictures with the upcoming 6th album, there still hasn't been a new band picture with all the new band members! Thanks for the listening and the usual props to Cosmicmouse & Bear! Peace and take care!

Hi everybody ! 
I agree with all of you.... i think we talked about it in previous posts (about the appearing of the group members in the video´s).
But we shouldn´t forget that (oh my god i ´ve lost the name....  )....
yes... his name was Toby....  (just kidding)....
after he bowed out of the group he mentioned that he didn´t like this media attention on his person..... didn´t he say that he´s glad that Jay ´s got the main attention....
Perhaps the other members don´t want all that........probably they don´t want to be easily recognized by fans, reporters.....etc.
They´ve got family... children....
I think i would try to "hide" myself...just playing music.... and let the girls scream at Jay.....
But of course i want to see the other members, too. `cause they are a part of this wonderful music
But it would be much painful for me if i couldn´t see Jay that much....  ...Sorry....
And yes Jamirofan....I love this picture

LOL hey, got a bit carried away there, mrsmoon, didn't you? :-D
i don't think, that the rest of the band minds the media- and fan-attention this much. especially rob and nick are really nice and outgoing when it comes to meet and greet fans. i think, it's more promotion-wise that they put jay in the spotlight. the real fans of the group are annoyed when people say 'jamiroquai? oh, yeah, that's the guy who likes those speedy cars and funny hats, right?' but that's how alot of people see the band... so public relation gives them what the main public wants...

I think it´s Jay´s fault too. He signed that contrat with Sony (he wanted to be the boss, he is who pay the rest of the members, not Sony...) and that´s all. It´s not like in the majority of the other bands, where everybody get the same money...  |
