*Another chance to drum with Sola*
I know many of you don't live in or around London, but for those that do, Sola is conducting another personal drum clinic in London.
Details are on his website. Specifically this link:
http://www.solaakingbola.com/percussion.html
Quickies: Thursday, August 24, 2006, 10 am - 11 pm
Each session is one hour.
Claudia and I had the chance to do this while on our vacation in London back in June and it was a great experience. I documented most of it in my blog. We thought about whether to do it or not for awhile (didn't want to be these crazed fans who just did it because it was Sola), and decided yes...I mean, when was timing ever going to be lined up for us like this again and with both our backgrounds in dance and Latin we wanted to really experience the sounds of them. And we barely talked about Jamiroquai...barely. Anyway, It's kind of spastic and not the best journalist work I've done..but whatev - you get the point:

Zed also went at the end of last month and really dug it.
Hope some of you can go, especially some of you percussionists and overall musicians that just want to gain a deeper understanding for percussion and or the connection and importance it has in a band.
Sola not only demonstrates, but he incorporates education. It's fun, but warning...your hands will be red, red, red!

PM'd you both.
I'm sure he'd love the instruments...especially since they are homeade. You have got to get that to him somehow. Maybe the next time they swing through your country.
I was embarrased too especially with people watching, but he kept saying "It's okay", and it was _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

thanks
the colours were inspired by the colorfull clothes Sola used to use on tour so many times (and in his site) and well, i tried my best to paint the colours and the name and buffaloman....it's a bit amateurish...but the intention is what counts and also...i still love the sound! _________________
