Partying at Jay's House
I meant to post this a few days ago, but forgot.
This is just a small, but funny mention that was in the Independent several days ago. It is written by Cooper Brown who got fired/quit his job as a journalist in London and to cheer him up a friend took him to Jay's house to party. The whole article is quite funny, but here's just the Jay part:

I ring Ben, a man who has never been forced to stay in his office and earns over half a million a year. As far as I'm concerned, the more time you spend in your office, the less important your job. How am I supposed to be creative sitting in a office that's clearly been decorated by the same people who did the Eurostar?
Ben turns up in his new Bentley and won't tell me where we are going. We speed off down the Westway and I really hope he's not taking me to the Himmlers, I've only just escaped from that hell-hole. I shouldn't have worried, we're soon driving up to this seriously big house. The owner comes out to meet us - it's Jamiroquai.
For once, I don't really want to go into too much of what we got up to. I don't want to, but I'm going to because it was awesome. If you ever get fired from your job, go straight to Jamiroquai's house. This guy knows how to party. I felt like I was on tour with Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne combined. I saw things that a man my age should never see and I loved every minute of it. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Evidently one of the things he didn't get to know that night was his host's name...
