[25 OCT 2006] - Jazz Café, London
Wohaaaa, from funkin :
It has been announced that Jamiroquai will be performing at the London Jazz Cafe (which holds only around 350 people!) on Wednesday 25 October as part of the BBC Electric Proms series of events.
Tickets are free and will be offered to people by random who register at the BBC website between now and 22 October.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/electricproms/tickets/jamiroquai.shtml
Part of the main article text on of the BBC website says the following:
Jamiroquai last played the Jazz Cafe in 1992. He'll play a set that goes back to the early days of his career - including tracks from his groundbreaking first album 'Emergency on Planet Earth'.
It is planned that the gig (all, or part - i'm not sure) will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1Xtra radio channels, as well as BBC Three (television).
More information is available at the BBC Electric Proms website...

Hello,
Good luck to you Sister Saffy, Sister MsP and all my fellow British Jami Fans, I hope all of you get picked to attend ! What yet another great development, great to see JK and the boys returning to their "LIVE Roots" by playing at this venue, I wonder if they will surprise us by playing some more of their old venues ? Maybe make a jont to Club Citta in Japan during the early Asian Wing of their GH tour? I mean, Jamiroquai playing all their old Japanese venues would RULE, as well as playing all their UK stops, most notably:
- Milky Way In Amsterdam
- The Leadmill In Sheffield
- The Forum In England
- Clapham Common In England
- Brixton Academy In England
- Parkcafe In Munich, Germany
- Tunnel Club In Glasgow, Scotland
I'm as gitty as a little girl, look forward to more tourdate news! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

OK, I've entered... no idea how I'll get over to London with three days' notice if I win, but it's a once in a lifetime thing, after all.

If it's any consolation, I was 16 and 5 months when they sent the email round asking for people who were 17 and above and wanted to be in the 'Supersonic' video... so I know how you feel!

I've entered... with a whole three days notice I'm sure easyjet tickets would be expensive but... I wouldn't care
Good luck to everyone who enters - hopefully we'll have someone from the Jamily there |
