...and jamirox: your own forum has a whole section full of those games, Mike. Rolling Eyes

I ask myself: Who lowers down the quality and sociability at jamirotalk more? Someone who posts a game which people obviously enjoy, or someone who posts messages like your last one, Mike.

That is a seriously cheap shot, like a fist to Mike's ballsack: it's defensive, but unneccessary and will only lead to worse... and i agree, this place has turned into JPP.

Oh, and to just prove how silly some JMQ fans are:

.......you're joking, right???? Seriously, it's like everyone on here was born into a small box, with big speakers and is totally oblivious to everyone else!!!

Here's what you should do: everyone on this forum MUST get out of their shell and get into some REAL music, and stop flogging the dead horse = talking about a band which is soon-to-be-dead.

FACE THE FACTS. Honestly....

talking about a band which is soon-to-be-dead

I don't think they're soon-to-be-dead... and even if they were the music they once did is well worth discussing. People are still discussing lots of bands that are dead... including artists that actually are dead for real. People are also discussing "zombie bands", eg bands that should've retired ages ago but refuse to give up and keep playing. As long as there are breathing fans of the music it doesn't matter if a band or artist is dead (figuratively speaking or really dead)... the music leads its own life and won't die as long as people enjoy it.

Have you ever heard of Johann Sebastian Bach? Antonio Vivaldi? Nicolo Pagannini? Alessandro Scarlatti? I can drop more names if you wish... I used to be heavily into classical music, mainly baroque. I still enjoy it. These guys have one important thing in common... they're dead. Since ages ago... does it mean people doesn't enjoy the music they once wrote? Hell no! People still buy records with different conductors and orchestras rendering their interpretations of the music. People still discuss their music, their lives etc. I can imagine the musicians playing their music are discussing details so tiny, so insignificant, so nerdy to people like us... But to people like them it's as important to them as it is to us who the mysterious Mr. X playing the bass on the album version of Space Cowboy is.

I listen to a lot of REAL music, including Jamiroquai. But this is a Jamiroquai forum after all... why would I discuss Slayer here? I limit myself to mentioning bands/artists that are similar to Jamiroquai because it's more likely that Jamiroquai fans will enjoy those than Yngwie Malmsteen which is anothe favourite of mine.

I have no problems discussing Gil Scott-Heron, Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Johnny "Hammond" Smith, Herbie Hancock etc here. I think especially old school fans will appreciate their music... and the fact that if those guys hadn't done what they did in the 70's there would be no Jamiroquai. At least not the Jamiroquai we know.

I could go on with discussions about my love for Uli Jon Roth, The Doors, Queen and The Beatles (the psychedelic era)... but as these artists/bands have virtually nothing in common with Jamiroquai I have a feeling this isn't the best place to get those discussions moving.

There's a lot of interesting contemporary music out there... just listen to BBC 1 Worldwide hosted by Gilles Peterson. But although there are people here who most certainly would appreciate Jazzanova, 4Hero, Rainer Trüby Trio and others the link to Jamiroquai is rather weak. There are other forums more suited for discussing those. This is a Jamiroquai forum... there's nothing wrong with suggesting good music to Jamiroquai fans, but we're here to discuss Jamiroquai first and foremost.

Immoral? Where the fuck did that come from? Lay off the crack pipe ffs!

Incoherent? Maybe, English is not my first language.

Innacurate? Wtf is that? English is not my first language but I can at least spell correctly. Laughing

Offtopic? I believe that's two words... or at least use a hyphen. Back to school! For the record, it's not off-topic. You were the one to go off-topic to begin with.

Wrong? That's your opinion. And what you think is of no importance to me either.

I think you should learn how to treat people with some respect. You treat me like a mutt for no fucking reason you juvenile little prick. I tried to reason and keep the discussion civil, I usually do. But I'm not in the mood to cuddle an adolescent little asshole like yourself right now. I'm not going to sugar coat my words, you're not worth it.

Who the fuck do you think you are? Take your fucking bitterness and ride off in the sunset on the high horse you rode in on ffs. Don't fucking take it out on me. I've never done anything to you and yet you lash out at me like a rabies infected dog. Why? I know why... you lost. I beat you. My intellect is far too superior for you too handle. You're nothing but a little boy and you can't fight a fight with a real man. I'm not going to waste my time with you. Grow up ffs. If you don't like it here the solution is simple. Leave! Good riddance of bad rubbish!

Just to clear some things:

I don’t have an mp3 player with a big capacity like many of yours. And I only use it in my car to and from work, cause my old car has no cd player. I can not hear any music at work, so if I decide for myself to hear my favourite music, which is Jamiroquai, on my way from and back to home, that’s damn normal for me Exclamation

If “someone’s” musical tastes developes into another direction that’s Ok, and I am sure everyone from the Jamily hears music from other bands and genres too. I am looking back on 47 years of different music and styles I listened. But this is Jamirotalk…meant to talk about Jamiroquai. If someone’s not more interested in the band, so why is he caring anyway about what’s going on in this forum Question

So here’s another wise saying from an old lady (be happy to tear me apart later for it):
Life is not funny! At least not all days when you’re grown up. But everyone has still to be positive and find some happy and even silly moments. Nothing wrong with being silly from time to time. Most days I work up to 9 hours, in the remaining time I have to care for my home, my husband and many other things. Life is serious and you need to go “offtopic” from time to time. Just normal and very healthy. And I am glad, that I can still be silly from time to time in my age.
It is no sign of being mature to spoil other peoples silly moments or to force your own opinion on other people, or to offend people here. I think that behaviour is even more silly than playing a silly game with friends from time to time.

I'm almost new here, so is wise to stay out of this kind of discussion but I have one or two thinks to say!

FIRST: Monisum...u don't need to justify!! what u listen to is only your business!!

SECOND: Me too on my player have only jamiroquais, and few songs from steely dan and so??? nodaby can blame me for that, I don't like to download ( a part the fact that is illegal and any one is free to behave as HIS OWN mind tell him) and I will never buy Mp3 'cause they are shitty quality and lost a lot of data.
so, who the hell are U to judge someonelse choices??
Pietro u may be a lucky guy or a great downloader...or even musically more...ehm...educated...but still... who the hell are u to judge what other ppl do in theyre homes and beds ( players)?

Think about U and yuor great Music education...and...just in case...it would be much more appreciated if u share your culture with us istead of just jugde!!

That's it!!

Vere

(btw...if my english is not correct...not a big deal, I'm italian and speach both freanch and english..and if someone doesen't like the way I use english...try to use italian...than we'll see!)

What are you doing? Did you noticed that all this discussion started with an innocent game?
Ok, the game isnt very funny or whatever you want to say about it but this is a forum and we're here to share our opinions and respect the other's opinions, right? What happened with that? I see you all forgot it.
If you dont like any thread of this forum, just ignore it, that's it.
But it's no good if you start saying that this thread is this, this thread is that coz problems and discussions start with that.

Please, keep peace here, this is a FORUM. And the rest of users don't want these things to happen.

These messages were splitted from the game topic "music game" in order to keep the game clean from offtopic messages and in order to give people the opportunity to discuss, react, justify or whatever they want to add to some things that were said before.

That we're here talking about our favorite band doesn't mean that we don't like other music !!! After all, it is a Jamiroquai forum...

It was immoral and out of context of the post. YOU lay off the crack-pipes. NOTE THE HYPHENS.

It's actually one word. *points at the top of the page* Note it says: JAMIROTALK.NET Forum Index -> Offtopic. Ha, now YOU go back to school, smelly.

Also, to be technical, it was darling Mike who took it offtopic first. Ha. Take that.

Space Clav wrote:

Then learn how to speak English properly before you drop an f-bomb, like this:

I found 4 grammar mistakes and 1 load of bullshit.... and I am a man. Come down here anyday and we will kick your arse. No use scurrying off to the hollow defence of "I'm not in the mood to cuddle an adolescent little asshole like yourself right now" crap. You don't pick a fight then just say "I'm older, so shut up" and throw in some expletives to make yourself look tough.

And on another technical note, I've been on this forum for a good 2 years more than you. Now shoosh, Space Claratyne.
