These last days I'm kinda getting addicted on chess, in real life and on the internet.
If you like to play this game but there's no one available I warmly recommend you to play on www.chess.com.
There you can play against the computer, learn stuff about chess, train, post blogs, post in a chess-related forum and of course play against other internet users.

Haha.. that's a coincidence! On saturday my son Marlin (8 years) has been at a chess competition. He made postition 7 from 22 (in his age-group)...and postition 15 from 44 (all age groups). I will send him to you ophone!!

Hehe,
how cute all those little chess masters!
And one thing is sure, your son Marlin will beat me. As I said I'm an absolute rookie. (Even my girlfriend beats me the most of the time, out of 15 games I won 2 and we made one draw.  )

I was quite surprised I've beaten Marlin, I hope he's not too disappointed now.

hehe, yes... he is indeed a bit upset that he has lost and maybe it was my fault - as it was very late I told him several times to hurry up.. he had another challenge at the same time with a stranger and also he did clean his teeth and put his pyjamas on while playing with you...
I am sure he wants a revenge in the next days!

I suggest www.freechess.org (FICS) which is the biggest free online chess service!
I was on ICC before but left after a year.
Please register on FICS, download babaschess (Windows Client) or Jin (OSX client) and add me to your friendslist so we can play!

I don't play that much chess anymore.
I usually have chess phases in my life, the last one I had was this in February.
